It wasn’t strange to see the fair Bavarian queen pacing about the shores of Auradon at night. Although her days were often spent handling official matters and advising Belle and her husband, she had always been a restless nocturnal soul. So, the nobles and other inhabitants of the isle learned not to ask questions whenever they saw her cloaked silhouette silently brush past their houses.
However, those aforementioned individuals might very well ask questions if they saw what Snow was observing now. She paused near a craggy shoreline, head canting to the side as she watched a familiar royal glide through the water on the back of a large sea creature, trident in hand. A sly, knowing smile bloomed on Snow’s features. She had always admired and respected Ariel. As someone with Poseidon as an ancestor, she had taken Snow’s own identity in stride, and she had supported Snow in verbally opposing a great injustice: the barrier around the Isle of the Lost.
And now it seemed that the red head was backing her words with actions. Snow’s heart swelled with affection and pride. There truly needed to be more Ariels in the world.
“Now, darling, what are you doing out so late? Making mischief?” Snow pulled back her hood, laughing, as she moved closer. “If so, how dare you not include me.”
