She shook her head. "I hear it because it's about me." She spoke. "I won't lose it. I know how to control myself, and think it's better for you regardless. That's one last demon you and your reapers have to worry about." She spoke.

“There’s obviously gossip going on about me, but you don’t hear me getting uppity about it. … Until it becomes troublesome for my g-… my girlfriend…”

“Pardon me for being skeptical. I’ve not exactly had pleasant interactions with demons, and you may not be causing me trouble work-wise, but you showing up to distract me and taunt me isn’t exactly fun on my part.”

"I've won't touch her. I haven't touched a reaper and you know that. I only fought Undertaker because he started it first and was hunting" She frowned at him. "I know you can't, I hear what you say to. I never ask for trouble. I've never eaten a single soul. I just like to have fun and don't let people tell me what to do."

“Well you just have ears everywhere, don’t you?” he asked, getting irritated. “Congratulations. You’re starving yourself just to be more of a disturbance when you lose it and go feeding.” William adjusted his glasses, the light glinting off of them. “I’m sure our definitions of ‘fun’ are vastly different.”

She leaned back, "You're not aspiring to manage the library. I doubt many collecting reapers deal too much with the library personnel. Besides, you're reaction to my initial mention of her told me enough. I think someone's melted that cold heart of your's." She grinned, "It was than same between me and sweet Undertaker." She daydreamed before lulling her head to him, her hair falling off the side of the chair. "Perhaps, but it's always around. You just have to listen."

His blush darkened, and he refused to look at her. “… Just leave her out of your business,” he finally replied. “I don’t want her getting hurt while you’re around.” William went to clean out the mug he’d used. “Still can’t believe you two. You’re just asking for trouble, but that’s always been your specialty, hasn’t it?”

She looked back to her fingernails again, playing with one as she answered him, "Oh a little canary who's likely been singing too much." She spoke. "I don't know how it was, but I hear their whispers around the corners sometimes saying," She paused to look at him and lean closer to him for added effect, ""I hear stiff ol' William's found himself a woman. I've seen him out with the librarian quite a lot lately."" She mimicked their voices before giggling softly.

William scoffed, knowing that description could realistically be half the reapers in Dispatch at least. “Damn gossip hens,” he muttered mutinously. “And you’re spending far too much time around Dispatch if you’re listening to rumors… Perhaps my being with the librarian is work-related.”

She smirked as she looked at her nails, "I think it's funny to mess with you though we're enemies by nature and you don't like me at all." She answered him, "I know they will, but i know i can get out just as easy as getting in." She looked back up to him and grinned. "Also it's like my precious reaper will come back for his debriefing and I'll venture away with him or i can get sights on that pretty girl I've heard you're with."

“Of course, because hatred is hilarious.” He rolled his eyes, finishing up his coffee. He knew there was no point attacking her, she’d just disappear like she mentioned, and he wasn’t planning on working during his break. William blushed dark pink at the mention of his girlfriend and glared at the demoness. “Pray tell, who’s been spreading rumors about my love life?” he asked, trying to dissuade her from knowing about his librarian.

She merely smiled. "Well, he wasn't at home, so I thought he'd be at the office. It appears he might be out working." She spoke as she made herself at home in a chair. "I thought it might be better to leave him to his work and hang around. It's not like any other reapers know I'm here." Her eyes glittered red at him, "Only you do." She giggled.

“And why exactly are you so comfortable with me knowing you’re around, when you shouldn’t be nevertheless, and not anyone else?” he huffed. “And the longer you ‘hang around’, the more likely it is you’re found out by other reapers.”

As loud cheers and calls, bells and whistles sounded around them, Michael turned slightly to pull his partner close to him and kiss her sweetly. Soon the noises around them faded as his focus turned solely on the lovely woman in his arms. After a moment, he pulled away and smiled warmly. “Happy new year Nomie.” 💕

(Inionadhlacora) "Happy Birthday, sweetheart." She hugged him and pecked his cheek. She had a chocolate cake on the table behind her with candles on it.

Michael hugged her back, smiling warmly. “Thank you, love. This has got to be my best birthday yet! I’m glad I get to share it with you.” He kissed her forehead through her bangs. “Thank you.”
