Count The Pines
Count The Pines is a fictional account of a golf caddy. In the wake of a stock market collapse, J.B. Broadmoore becomes a victim of a faltering economy. He finds himself disconnected from a plush, dot com recruiting job and faces the cold, hard reality of unemployment. With few skills outside of his designated career, J.B. resorts to carrying golf bags for a living. As he sits on a bench that’s situated near a caddy shack, he reminisces about a life that’s filled with hilarious ‘looper’ shenanigans. The memories recall amoral activities and people who administer a hedonistic vocation. A chronological overview of his career outlines eclectic characters and outlandish behavior. The rendition takes him from an initial encounter with a unique lifestyle through a period of growing intrigue. He’s attracted to the low-lifer’s alcoholic tendencies, so he becomes captivated by venial practices. When he hits rock bottom, he fights his way out of a problematic lifestyle and rises to the top of a ‘professional career.’ The deck seems to be stacked against him because he loses his footing and returns to a fateful disgrace.
