Okay, So far, I'm really not impressed.
I Understand that Tumblr is a Web 2.5 thing or whatever, but my biggest complaint with it has got to be its performance. Should it really take ten seconds to load my Dashboard?
And what the fuck is with the rich text editor they default a new user to? It strips, like, ALL HTML code You put in manually from it. Not user friendly to people who don't need "user friendly" apps. Luckily, there were a few things I could do to fix these problems:
In preferences, switch over to the text/html editor, not the rich text(default) one... or the markdown one.
In the same section, change it so Your dash doesn't have endless scrolling or full-size images. That makes it a bit faster.
And yeah, I get that these things are there to help people who don't know How to Make Love, but the ways to turn off kid mode were slightly hidden, in my opinion.
Other than this, though, it does seem fun. Vive la tumblr!
