Initial Design Ideas
-------------------------------------------------------------------
For this design, I have opted to keep the front of the glass bottle as plain and simple as possible. No paper or ink has been used, instead the moulding of the glass will allow for the ‘Lea and Perrins’ handwritten brand name to stand out as it will be raised up from the rest of the glass - similar to techniques the a lot of beer bottles use e.g. Grolsch.
This means that the vast majority of the information will need to be included on the back sticker of the bottle. I went for a basic, rounded corner rectangular shape as this allows for a lot of text to fit on.
All of the important info. will be feature here and I have included a QR code which can be scanned on many mobile photos where a buyer will be linked the the L&P website to find recipes etc.
On the back of the sticker I have designed a pattern consisting of ‘Lea and Perrins’ being written in black ink on the background. This will be visible as more and more of the bottle is used up, as shown below.
It may seem like a bit of a waste to have this inclusion, but it adds more character to the bottle overall, I have used no ink on the front of the bottle and the ink that I shall be using will be sustainable!
