On the brightside, I guess I can play it off as a Van Gogh cosplay for Halloween.
Going from 10g to 8g guages didn't go so smoothly... :/
Just recently changed guage sizes on 10/5/24, but I woke up this Saturday (10/13) to the right earguage falling out, which we were able to fix and re-secure in place with the double earpost bands.
However, the left earlobe tried to completely absorb the new 8g guage, which then required a visit to the local urgent care.
Definitely disappointed by this set back, but I am grateful that the Med Express staff were persistent and able to extract it.
In the meantime, I ordered a couple of different stretching kits (one set with a flat end/larger flare and the other set are spirals), which hopefully will be less likely to be earlobe-absorbed over the tunnel lip flare than the stretching kit I currently have.
The left earlobe will have to heal for at least two (2) weeks, but more than likely I'll need to be cautious and wait at least a month before attempting to re-pierce/re-start the guaging process.
