Lexi pushed through the doors of the Performance Center, having needed to get in a workout, and maybe some sparring in the ring before she was due to leave with her boys for their house show tonight. Her bag was hung over her shoulder, her phone and water bottle in the other hand. She waved to a few people as she walked past them, calling out to Miss Sara that she’d see her in a little while. She stepped into the locker room, and into one of the bathroom stalls to get herself together. Through the sounds coming in, she could hear when someone entered, the door falling shut behind them. Thinking nothing of it, she opened the door to her stall, and stepped out, going to her locker to put her things away. When she finally looked up to greet whoever it was that had entered, she froze in her spot.
Zahra.
That was the last person she wanted to see. Not now, at least. Not since she’d done what she’d done. Not when she knew that the other woman was angry with her, with every right to be.
