If I Can’t, No One Will { Lexi/?}
Lexi had known that she shouldn’t have been out late at night when her ex was back in town. She knew that it wasn’t the wisest of decisions. But, for some reason, she had it in her head that Matt had changed, and changed for the better. The fact that he’d been out of the country due to specific complications didn’t make him a nicer person Lexi had learned as she had been heading home from the Performance Center. It was a little before midnight and even though she’d been working late, she was happy to have gotten done at that time. Her love was due to come visit her tonight, and she wanted to make sure that everything was in order before they showed up on her doorstep.
When she’d arrived home, the last person she expected to see at her door was Matt. But, he was the one that was standing there looking none too pleased.
“Who is he?” the redhead had growled, getting into her face, causing the petite blonde to shrink back against the wall.
“I don’t know what you’re talking about,” she stammered out, big, blue eyes staring up at him with fear.
“Don’t fucking play games with me!” he growled before he grabbed her and tossed her against the brick wall at the front of the apartment. Lexi gasped, her back hitting the hard, rough surface.
“What are you doing?” Lexi whispered, reaching back to ease the shooting pain down her back.
“Don’t fucking play innocent with me,” he hissed, his hand coming back to slap her hard across the face, her head snapping back with the force of the impact that he’d made.
Lexi’s hand came up to grab at her cheek, the one that was stinging now because of his actions.
“I…I can explain,” she whimpered, looking at him as she scrambled back with nowhere to go because she was against the bare wall of her apartment; the outside at least.
“Open the door and go in,” Matt hissed, grabbing her arm to twist it behind her before he moved her so that she was facing the door of her apartment. “And don’t even think of screaming,” he growled, right before Lexi felt the unmistakable, cold edge of a knife pressed against her stomach, from underneath her shirt. She blanched, her fingers scrambling into her purse, even as he held her in place, reaching for her keys. Shakily, she slipped the key into the door of her apartment and pushed it open once the lock had turned in the right direction. She walked inside, looking around for anything that she could use against him. That effort lasted about five seconds, when she found herself thrown against the wall, and then once more, into the center table in her living room.
“You want to try and tell me the truth this time?” Matt’s voice snarled before he was in her personal space, holding her down as he shoved a picture that had been taken at SummerSlam of them together.
“Is that who you’re fucking?” he asked her, a sarcastic laugh coming out of his mouth. “Are they aware of what a whore you are?” he murmured, his hand going for her throat in an attempt to prevent her from moving.
“That’s none of your concern,” Lexi choked out, hands wrapping around his wrist to try and pry him off of her.
He snorted then, shaking his head. “Wrong answer,” he murmured, his smile going cold, almost twisted now.
“I told you once, and I’ll tell you again, Alexis,” he said, his Australian accent coming out thicker than usual now. “If I cannot have you,” he said, leaning in, his voice low enough now that he was talking into her ear. “No one is going to have you,” he told her.
Lexi didn’t have time to respond, or even acknowledge what he’d said. The only thing that she could feel was the sting of the blade as it pressed itself into her side and was kept there, even as her own hands closed over his, trying to get him to move.
“You’ll always be mine,” he told her, which was the last thing she heard before her world went completely blank.
