so i uh. i kind of imagine them meeting in the most cliche way possible okay don't judge me
inko at present day (where izuku is seven), works a part-time job as a nurse at the hospital. But Inko back then had been an EMT.
There has been some large disaster--devastating, all hands on deck, we have to get there asap oh fuck it someone put inko-chan in the driver seat.
in a way, you could argue that inko is actually an excellent driver. she gets you there faster than what should be physically possible and she gets you there alive or in alive-like condition but, good god. good god. the first time toshinori gets in a car with her he ends up crushing the door handle. he insists his life flashed before his eyes.
Anyway so. this happened when All Might had only just recently returned from his stint in America. he had already gotten ignoring medical advice down to a science and he'd been avoiding All Possible Human or Non-Human Contact like the fucking plague because he genuinely believed that if he so much as petted a puppy on the sidewalk, his immortal terrorist nemesis would hunt it down and eat it's entrails.
his own agency barely ever saw him. (one strange rabid teenager had turned stalking him into an artform but all might was hoping that if he pretended he didn't see it it would go away)
So yes, there was some Big Fight and then there were emergency services crawling all over the scene and toshinori had given the EMT in front of him a big grin and a thumbs up and said hahaha Do Not Worry Good Citizen I Am Fine I Am Impervious To Harm Please Ignore The Lacerations They Are No Bother.
In his defence, it usually worked. He already had enough international street cred that people just kind of dazedly nodded.
But inko had started at him like he was medically insane, gently pushed him back down, said: "that's nice!:)" and started checking him for a concussion. He did Not have a concussion to her eternal disappointment he was just Like That.
This started the most ridiculous game of Cat and Mouse, where All Might would try to abscond from the hospital premises and inko would kind of materialise in front of him like a fucking ninja. and listen. technically he could just physically remove her in a very gentle way but. he had manners, come on . he was a gentleman. (also it was kind of a matter of pride at this point.)
Besides she. she talked to him sometimes. they had conversations. It was the most human he'd felt in a while.
He does eventually escape. But he leaves behind a note with a little drawing on it. (inko's hospital friends tease her terribly over it).
And then they don't see each other for a while....until well. there's always another disaster.
and toshinori finds himself covered in blood smiling sheepishly at her.
