NEW SHIP ALERT! I think they’re so very super duper cute, y’know
Big Brothers Internship Arc Study Date One-Off Babysitter Dad Arc
*Ahem* Midoriya having a cat quirk and Aizawa becomes Dadzawa to him especially as his favorite animal is cats.
YES. Izuku with kitty ears and a tail, nyaing at people and being adorable. Aizawa sees his picture in the student applications and claims him in a second. HIS. Fight him Vlad.
... I now want this to be Inko/Aizawa because the idea of Inko also having a cat Quirk and Aizawa just falling for it is adorable.
Ooooh, Aizawa meets Izuku when he’s like six, and he saves Izuku, bringing him back to his mom who insists he eats dinner with them.
He never leaves.
More Inko x Aizawa. Let us know what happened on the dinner. Let us see that fluffy situation. Please 😢😢
You got it!! Its been a while since I've worked with this little plotline so I hope you enjoy!! - Mod Deku
As well as things had gone, Inko still couldn't stop herself from worrying. That's just how she was, a worrier to the core and it showed. Even as Izuku helped her with dinner, insisting on doing most of the work, she kept sneaking glances over at him. She could read him like a book, as usual, and it seemed he was entirely happy, going about the prep work as he chattered on about school. Inko had expected so much worse than this, expected her son to be mad at her, look down on her, something.
But it seemed he was more than alright with how things were proceeding, even mentioning a few times how excited he was to meet the baby in due time. Inko smiled nervously at that, helping Izuku set the table and jumping when the doorbell rang. She told Izuku to finish up, trying to smooth her hair a bit before opening the door. Aizawa looked as he always did, albeit dressed up a little nicer than usual.
“Hi! You came at the perfect time! Come in!” She smiled and took Aizawa by the hand, pulling him inside and trying to keep her anxiety under control. Izuku smiled at Aizawa, putting plates and dishes on the table.
“Hello sir! Good to see you!” He said politely, getting the food arranged.
“Here, sit, everything is ready.” Aizawa nodded, sitting down and looking around awkwardly. He wasn't sure what to say to Izuku in this case, especially given what his student knew about his relationship with his mother.
“How are you doing, Mido- er, Izuku?” He resisted the urge to rub the back of his neck, taking some food and passing the platter over. Izuku started chattering on about a new technique All-Might was helping him learning, no one interrupting him at the risk of making things awkward. Aizawa chimed in here and there with advice, finally getting into a good conversation as the three of them ate.
“Please tell me this isn't as dangerous as it sounds, you two?”
“Don't worry Mom, its not! Everything is as safe as possible, i swear!” Both Inko and Aizawa gave him a look and Izuku laughed nervously.
“It is! I haven't broken any bones in… a while!” The rest of the dinner went peacefully, small talk being made until Inko excused herself to grab dessert. It was quiet for a moment, before Izuku spoke up.
“Aizawa-sensei… do you love my mom?” Aizawa nodded after a moment, almost waiting for something bad to happen.
“Good. She loves you, a lot. I haven't seen her this happy with someone besides me before. My dad left when i was a baby, so shes always done all of this alone… please don't do that to her too, alright?”
“I don't plan on going anywhere, i won't be leaving your mother, or our baby. And… you can just call me Shouta, alright? Well, not in school, that would be…”
“Yeah.” Izuku smiled as Inko returned, a platter of cookies in hand.
“You two getting along?” Izuku nodded, grabbing a cookie as Aizawa asked her a question. Before long, things settled down, everyone migrating to the living room to watch television before Izuku got up from his spot on the couch.
“I'm going to go work on some homework before bed, goodnight!” He pressed a kiss to Inko’s temple and said goodbye to Aizawa, disappearing down the hall. Aizawa moved closer to Inko once they were alone, her head resting on his shoulder.
“I think that went well, don't you?”
“Yeah, its all… a bit weird, i guess.”
“Its an adjustment, for everyone, but we’ll get used to it.” Inko’s hand rested on her belly, rubbing gently and letting her eyes close. Aizawa’s hand covered her own, arm around her shoulder.
“This sure is happening, huh?”
“It is…” Inko muttered, already half asleep. Aizawa just smiled softly, pulling her close and letting her rest, knowing they would both need as much as they could before long.
hey here’s more InkoZawa. I’m gonna make so much fanart of this ship. Nothing will stop me >:3c
Aizawa wasn’t sure how Inko Midoriya had been given permission to be an adult chaperone on this school trip. But he didn’t exactly hate the help. Particularly when it was discovered that Mineta counted as a “small object” and she could use her quirk on him to keep him out of 1) the girls’ bathroom, 2) the girls’ side of the bath house, 3) pretty much any location they didn’t want Mineta to be in. So it made having her around pretty useful.
The girls also seemed to like having her around. Every female student from Aizawa’s class quickly had nothing but good things to say about their assigned chaperone.
Midoriya seemed rather glad that his mother was the girls’ specific chaperone, but Aizawa wasn’t blind to the pride and love he held for his mother.
He kept his nose out of it, though. At least until the night he was doing his rounds and found Inko was still awake in the kitchen.
“You’re supposed to be asleep with the girls,” Aizawa pointed out as a greeting as he walked into the room.
Inko jumped, a bit startled, but then she gave Aizawa a smile.
“Oh, good evening! Sorry. It’s just -- it’s Wednesday.”
“Yeah?”
Inko nodded. “And every Wednesday night, my husband is supposed to call. He works abroad, so the time zone is different. So while this may be inconvenient for here, he’s a very busy man and simply calls when he’s able.”
“Ahh. What time is he supposed to call?”
Inko didn’t answer right away. There was a nervous look to her brow and smile.
“. . . A couple of hours ago. But I’m sure it’ll ring any minute.”
Aizawa watched her for a moment.
“. . . Want any coffee?”
“Way ahead of you.” She held up her mug. “But there’s some left, if you’re interested.”
Aizawa kept watching her for a moment, then he moved to pour himself a cup. She looked up as he sat down with her.
“Finished my round,” Aizawa said. “I’ll do another one in a minute.”
Inko smiled and nodded in response, then kept her eyes on her phone. Time crept on by, without the phone ringing.
Slowly, Aizawa asked, “When was the last time that he called?”
Aizawa was learning where Midoriya got his “eep!” expression from. The one he had when he looked like he had been caught doing something wrong. Or was just nervous about something.
“. . . Several months ago,” Inko admitted, not looking at Aizawa. “I . . . I haven’t been able to tell him about Izuku getting into UA. Or how he did in the sports festival. I . . . I don’t even know if they televise that stuff over there.... But I recorded it! So he could see it when he came home....”
Aizawa frowned as he drank from his coffee more.
“How do you know he hasn’t left you?” Aizawa asked.
Inko sighed.
“I keep getting direct deposits into the bank account.... They’re bigger than normal, and it started happening when he stopped calling.... So I’m pretty sure he’s just working more than ever. So I know he hasn’t forgotten about me....”
Her expression looked unsure still.
Aizawa watched her for a long moment, then he pulled out a notepad from a pocket in his hero uniform.
“Give me some information that I can use to check on him, and I’ll make sure for you.”
“Eh?” Inko stared at him, wide-eyed. “Y-you don’t have to do tha--”
“While it’s possible he’s fine, this’ll also make sure something didn’t happen to him and someone isn’t using the money to keep you from thinking about looking for him,” Aizawa said. “I don’t know why that would be the case, but you never know.”
“O-oh.... Well. All right.”
She wrote down a decent amount of information on her husband, Hisashi, then handed him the notes and smiled at him.
“Thank you for helping,” she said.
“It’s my job,” Aizawa said.
When he left the kitchen, he realized she had also given him her contact information. He knew it was just so he would have it for when he had updates on Hisashi. But he was glad his scarf was able to hide the traitorous blush on his cheeks.
Emotions were stupid.
Sigh
I need more InkoZawa art in my life
