Unfortunately, Yue Qingyuan was the kind of guy that, even caught off-guard, would still immediately and unhesitatingly throw himself into a chase scene. It sure didn't help that Qiong Ding was his home turf! How about that home field advantage, huh?

Whatever!! It didn't matter! Shang Qinghua had dealt with worse odds! Besides, it wasn't like Yue-shixiong believed in the concept of fun! As if he was the kind of guy who would participate in disciple races around the mountain when there was more responsibility to shoulder? That home field advantage was practically nothing if Yue Qingyuan never bothered exploring the home field by sword to begin with! Which he didn't! Probably!

Liz can I ask what fic you're writing for the counselor apocalypse novel 👀

So! I like taking @ficwip's monthly 1000 word challenge every now and then, and for that challenge, I pretty much default to the latest novel/manhwa/whatever that I've consumed (this is how I ended up with a gsgw/wtnv crossover one time). So that's how I ended up writing something for "A Survival Guide for a Counselor in the Apocalypse".

I explain all this because I'm limited to 1000 words. So there's not actually much room for me to develop a plot. I'm not really even sure how far I can get before I have to cut myself off, so it might not be much of a fic.

The June prompt is "shipwreck". So: apocalypse survivors Nam Muyeong and Lee Hoin find a spontaneously-appearing shipwreck on the road. This is the work of a Third Party that has invaded Earth. Entering the shipwreck will definitely trigger a 'scenario'. The question is, what kind?

Now, I wasn't planning to get this far, but I'm thinking that is a scenario where everyone must escape alive. Entering the shipwreck causes a timeloop of a ship going down with no survivors. The Third Party of this domain wants the story rewritten so everybody survives -- and it's going to keep on looping, forever, until it gets that.

She enjoys dancing! She's self taught in a lot of styles but loves doing some impromptu dancing with Miharu when the mood strikes. Conversely, she cannot cook. She can do the food prep and like cut ingredients and season them before cooking them, but her idea of seasoning is... questionable, and you really shouldn't trust anything that comes out of the oven if it wasn't a pre-made TV dinner type thing that she didn't have to do anything to.

Fog: Are there any lighthouses you dream of seeing/climbing?

Many... Copper Harbor in Michigan's Upper Peninsula is one I want to get to before either of my coworkers at the lighthouse I worked at do especially since I live a lot closer to it than either of them do in the off season, and Cape Hatteras in North Carolina obviously, and the Corduoan Lighthouse in France since it's the oldest lighthouse in France and has a museum as well.

Oil: When did you first become interested in lighthouses?

Some time in college I think? I've been interested in shipwrecks since I was a kid and it slowly expanded out to include general maritime history and lighthouses as I got older. My grandparents' house is filled with lighthouse stuff so I was probably subtly influenced by them for a long time anyway lol

Seagull: Do you prefer things that have "generic" lighthouses on them or things that have a specific, real lighthouse on them (like shirts, decor, etc)?

I prefer specific real lighthouses !! I always try and figure out what lighthouse is in photos and stuff if I can or at least what ones influenced the generic design, but specific ones are always better. It gives it personality u know? I do love the red and white barber pole design since there's only one of those in the US and it's White Shoal in the Straits of Mackinac !! Which is a beautiful lighthouse

Nagi hachinoya for character bingo!

Nagi... he's got so much going on but he definitely works best in a dynamic with someone like Ryui who has a very strong contrasting personality or just anyone to react to the weird shit that happens to him. But there is more to him than just his bad luck, as funny as it is.
