inkvent day 1

today is for self indulgent mer nonsense. this isn’t really finalized as a concept, but it’s vaguely leon pre-capture.

also if you’re wondering why leon’s face looks like it’s glowing a little orange, it’s because today’s ink — diamine baltic breeze — has copper colored shimmer in it. it’s very unique!

I decided the quote I’d chosen for this Inkvent - no. 12’s ‘Snow Globe’ - was too wordy, worthy and serious. I saw how this ink flexed in testing, and just wanted to draw a big snow globe instead. So I drew a big snow globe instead! #nowords this time, ha ha.

All these shades from a single ink; all the pinks and cornflower blues, nighttime and sparkle.

Inkvent 9 is a two-parter, designed to showcase the ink yes, but in two companion pieces because this line, by Blackliq, needed the NOISY, scruffy voice of negativity and the quiet, modest and often drowned-out voice that says the opposite.

“The negative voice in your head might be right about your situation, but it’s wrong about you”.

This singular shimmer ink, Wishing Tree, made all of the shades, tones and effects in these one-take pieces.
