New pen day 🩶
Got my Platinum Century 3776 in the mail today 😍 inked it up with "jingle berry" from the Diamine advent calendar. So pretty, I am so happy! I love the Platinum nibs and this is no exception
I'm playing a Ninth House cavalier again! ("Typecast much?" smirked a partner.) For "2 Dead 2 Furious", by Pretty Good Larps, taking "Harrow the Ninth" as inspiration. I'm expecting some amazing mindfuckery!
This is the title page in a book I'm filling up with words as a prop. Details on ink etc below the cut.
happy belated fountain pen day 😁😁😁..!
i went to the empire state pen show last month and got a vintage montblanc meisterstuck classique 144 (woof! a mouthful...) with a 14k gold nib. i was hoping to find a vintage fountain pen that wasn't prohibitively expensive so i was super satisfied. the vendor i bought it from had recently restored it and said it was from the late 80s/early 90s. it's probably the best pen i've ever written with -- super smooth and soft :))) i paired it with the lovely j. herbin vert de gris
i also pre-ordered the pilot custom 74 in the us exclusive lavender fog colorway and completely forgot about it until weeks after the pen show so i came home one day to another fountain pen. i considered returning it but the nib is a soft fine (a nib size i normally don't see around) and the lavender is so pretty compared to my demonstrator pilot custom 74 so i decided to keep it <33
i think i am set on fountain pens forever... :D (...until the next pen show)
Please enjoy moment of distraction from the absurdity and grim with these glittering close-ups of my new pen, a pressie from Scriveiner - gold, black, with a fine German nib. It writes with an unearthly SILKINESS. I came up with the line because it’s true, and also because my name on it would be quite boring. The best fountain pens I’ve ever used. I’m already working it hard. Thank you Scriveiners! 🖤
(Currently filled with Diamine ‘Foreverink’ in Raven permanent ink - yes, you can put it in a FP!) 🖋️
I may have a problem
Imagine writing a letter with Pepsi.
I need a dip pen.
day 11: ultra saturated orange-red ink with gold-green sheen, the sheen is extremely visible on this one, and can be diluted to get a light pink, which was quite unexpected for this color combination
this was such a fun surprise to get after all the muted ink colors in a row, the sheen is noticeable even when writing with finer nibs (they weren't kidding when classifying it as "extreme sheen")
