Easter Brunch Time!!!

Who doesn't love Easter.  The official holiday of chocolate...among other important things  :)

This year we will dazzle you and the fam with all the fabulous favorites of the season. Roast beef and ham cooked to perfection, hot crossed buns, chocolate passion fruit tarts, coconut lime slices - the list goes on and on and on.

The stylish sound pairings of Tom Watson will have you kicking back and ordering another round of mimosas and your little bunnies will be busy at Chef Ito's cookie decorating table.

Wanna win lunch for two?

Think 'Where's Waldo' only this time it's, Where's Jeremy?

Starting on Tuesday March 4th and running until Friday March 7th, Jeremy will be in position from 11:30am  - 12:30pm in a secret location in downtown Victoria.  He will have a Lucky Lunch Box to present the first person who finds him.

All you need to do is take a selfie with your lucky lunch box and upload it to Facebook or Twitter with the hashtag #AURAlunch

We will be spinning clues through Facebook and Twitter starting Friday, February 28th so be sure to keep your eye on us there.

Announcing ... new winter hours for LUNCH

Some might say our lunch is in hibernation until March 1st but we'd just say that we think lazy, late breakfasts rule!

Our new winter hours - until March 1st are....

Breakfast 7am - 11am - perfect

Lunch - closed

Dinner 5pm - 9pm

So walk on the wild side and invite that special someone for the city's best benny or book that dreaded lunch meeting at 5pm cause wine and an appy makes everything waaay better - guaranteed.

And for you hard core lunch lovers, do not despair, we've got brunch for you set up on Sunday, February 2nd when Executive Chef Ito and his gang will deliver brunch extraordinaire for the second time in 2014.

Gingerbread Tea in AURA

Be sure to come in and see us after you have marveled at this year's Gingerbread creations, cause we've got our festive Gingerbread Tea happening again this year. 

Pastry Chef April Iverson will be offering gingerbread inspired dessert from her pastry shop for you to enjoy with tea, coffee or hot chocolate before you brave back out into the chilly winter's day.

$10 per person and $1 from each purchase will be donated to support Habitat for Humanity Victoria.

And sorry Gingerbread Tea is not available on Sundays, Christmas Day or New Years Day.

Strut February 2nd & 3rd at Victoria's Wedding Walk

We at Inn at Laurel Point are thrilled to be one of the many venues participating in Victoria's first Wedding Walk. The Victoria Wedding Walk was designed by the Victoria Wedding Collective (VWC) to offer an annual fun, authentic showcase of the top wedding professionals, suppliers and ceremony experts along with wedding venues, décor and food ideas.

Our Wedding Experts will be in our magnificent Terrace Ballroom from 11am-5pm, Saturday February 2nd to meet you and answer all your wedding questions. Like  "What's all this noise about setting a budget" or "Who's this Pinterest guy my fiancée is spending all her time with?"

So zip up your boots and strut on down!

We have your "something blue" and you might even spot me!

Wedding Shows, you gotta go

We're off to Wedding Fair in Vancouver BC as exhibitors and hope to see you there!

If you can get yourself to a wedding show in the early stages of planning, go and bring your mum. Not only is it great bonding time, it will be as good as renting a time machine to bring your mum to the present if not the future of wedding trends. She might be surprised to see that today's bridesmaids (for the most part) like their dresses, do not wear coordinating hats, and sleeves are optional.

In 19___ [insert your parents’ wedding year here] couples hired bands and after a stroll through a wedding show, your mum will see that it is more common to work with a DJ now. Your mum will be brought up to speed on all things wedding in one afternoon, and you'll probably be able to avoid the "Don't you want to wear my wedding headband" conversation now that she knows what's In.
