🧈— Having visitors on Deep Space Nine also means new customers. And for humans, it is local dinner time, too. Quark has all his workers on deck, shooing them around to ensure that every free table is being pristine clean, every Dabo Table and Tongo Wheel ready to play and that the Dabo girls are present to greet the new customers flooding in.

He's behind the counter, polishing a cocktail glass to leave the impression of 'being busy but not too busy' as the first group of guests finally enter the bar. Some take a seat at the bar while others head over to the Dabo Table to gamble their possessions away.

One of the guests at the bar, a red-head wearing an eyepatch, keeps staring at Quark now, rather than the list of drinks at the wall. But that's not something that would be vexing to this crafty old Ferengi.

"We've got fried chicken with scalloped potatoes and Minaran spinach on today's recommendations."

Casually trying to make a list of muses that actually enjoy their Birthdays here made me realize that all of my muses either don't give a single fuck about their Birthday, hate it or don't celebrate it to begin with... x"D

Don't celebrate it because they don't really care - Isaac (05.06.)

Don't celebrate it because they hate it - Carver (21.04.) - Shredder (13.11.)

Don't celebrate it for cultural reasons - Krang - Bishop - Grum - Ania - Quark

??? - Carrion (doesn't celebrate, but always accepts offerings) - Murderbot (doesn't want it, definitely hates the idea of it)

As a Ferengi, Quark treats laws and rules loosely. He's likely to shirk those in the way of success and profit, but will adhere to them if they ensure safety and the respect of potential victims customers.

'The riskier the road, the greater the profit.' He'll risk doing crimes if the output is big enough. But if there's not enough in for him, he may pass on illegal jobs and deals. In the end, he may value his good reputation among his current clients more than whatever shady deal comes along.

And after all, 'There's nothing more dangerous than an honest businessman.' People don't expect him to adhere to laws and be honest, so when he is, there might be an opportunity to catch the other off-guard. Nothing wrong with being a honest businessman every now and then, to have more opportunities later.

But if there's not much to lose and a lot to gain? He's quick to throw any 'morals' over board.

I may approach you if I think the thread could profit from a little plotting at the start, to get things rolling. I also like to pre-establish first meetings between the muses with long-time partners, to skip these formalities in-thread. But that’s case-by-case.
