Ania’s research ship is called Hooyup, named after the hooyup trees on Ferenginar. It is a highly customized D’Kora-Class Marauder, measuring 310 meters in length. She has a large AI handling most of the controls, which is how she is able to fly the ship on her own without a crew despite its size.
However, she often teams up with other explorers, scientists and security personnel for large explorations. Her ship can hold up to 240 people. It could hold even more, but she uses plenty of cabins for her terrariums and aquariums. Also, the ship has 8 decks, including a medbay.
Its maximum speed is Warp 9.8 (for short bursts) and it is armed with phaser weapons and disruptors. She rarely uses these weapons though, they are there for self-defense only. Deflector shields, reinforced hull plating and a cloaking device further enhance her ship’s defense and safety. If things really go south, she can defend herself, and she is able to get the fuck out fast and stealthy too.
D’Kora-Class Marauders have a large cargo capacity. But Ania uses a big part of that space for lab compartments that are necessary for her researches and explorations. Even more so if she is out with a hired crew.
It has a curved, wing-like shape, often compared to a beetle or bird of prey. The forward hull section can extend outward as part of a transformation mechanism for docking functions.
