A small part of my inner romantic dweeb still hopes for that moment when the guy will throw small stones at her bedroom window, calling her name and begging for her to come down and stare at the stars with him. One day, it'll happen.

beauty and the beast

I finally re-watched Beauty and the Beast for the first time since I was a kid. Perhaps it has been maybe fifteen or so years since I probably had last seen it. Who knows! But it was so refreshing to see the relationship genuinely develop between Belle and the Beast. Often times in movies and stories, things are rushed and too ridiculously fate-based, but we ship the couple anyway because we know they are meant to be. But to watch Belle and the Beast’s relationship develop in probably one of the most realistic ways of all disney films (that I can recall off of the top of my head) and how every romantic hopes, my faith in finding, getting to know, and enjoying my future love has been restored. 

How lovely it would be to find a love like theirs.

I want to sleep with you. Not sex — although I really wouldn’t mind — but just…sleep. Next to each other. Hugging, cuddling…I wouldn’t mind, either.

Knowing that you’re there calms me down, and having to feel you beside me makes me happy, and hearing your heartbeat is the best lullaby. And at night, when I wake up after having a nightmare, seeing you still there would make me think that I’m living the dream.
