God Bless the Living Branch
This morning’s harvest was bountiful.
Beets, baby Cabbage, Arugula, Yard-long Beans, Rainbow Beans, Broad Beans, Tomatoes, Eggplant, Sage, Dill, Parsley.
All washed now. Ready for the food bank.
It’s healing work.
The Bean plants have been eaten heavily by the Bugs. The leaves look like lace. Yellowed, brown, falling.
But still they feed us.
It is a reminder of Original Instructions: create abundance.
An education in hospitality. Feed all who come to you. Even the Bugs.
The plants know. We are not here for just ourselves. We are terraformers. Here to make this place habitable and beautiful.
It’s healing work.
The Bean does not reckon how many bites the Bugs took. It just does its work of putting forth new green.
We can, too.

With a historical analysis of slavery and plantation labor, this week’s episode prompts us, at this critical time, to consider what is stolen from those among us who cannot rest under white supremacy and capitalism. In this incredibly rich offering, we speak with Tricia on the myths of grind culture
That the end is alwayes the first in intention, and last in execution.
