Hi lovely! My best friend lives with chronic severe schizophrenia. Just wondering if you have any advice for things to say / not say?

> if they are in the middle of an episode, and saying that someones out to get them or something, don’t say ‘stop being like that’, always being kind and understanding is a good way to go.

> if they say they don’t want help, be a little more spacey. sometimes people can clutter us and make it worse by trying to help
overall, just being an understanding/kind person is all you need. you should talk to them personally too to see, because every schizophrenic person is different! i hope i helped a bit
