Hello! I hope this isn’t a stupid question. I have a non-binary character who was AFAB and I was wondering if you had any advice on introducing the character as non-binary. The story is 3rd person POV and my MC meets the non-binary character at a club and so I was wondering how to say that they use they/their pronouns and that they are non-binary? Also could this possibly get confusing for the reader as there are a few MCs? Could I say that they use she/her pronouns too or is that incorrect?
You could have this character introduce themself with both their name and pronouns, as a way to make it easy right off the bat. Or, you could just use they/them and never have any characters mention it or see it as odd.
Having a character that uses they/them pronouns in a medium to small cast can get confusing. One trick for easing confusion is to use names as much as you can, and to clarify when “they” refers to the character or not, such as using “they all” with verbs.
Lots of nonbinary people use multiple pronouns, myself included. However, it would be easier on readers if they only had to keep track of one set of pronouns, so it might be better to stick to just one set.

4. Movie of the year
Difficult! I really enjoyed Frozen 2 (I cried twice and I never cry at films), Aladdin and Detective Pikachu. I'm really excited to see Little Women and I wish I had seen Dora and the Lost City of Gold. I thought Charlie's Angels looked very good by the trailer, but I didn't see it.
5. TV show of the year
Great British Bake Off, easily. The Least Laddy Lads Club will always have a special place in my heart.
19. What are you excited about for next year?
Lots of things! Anne with an E season 3 on 3rd January, The Life of David Copperfield that's coming out in cinemas, the possibility of going to pride. Generally looking forward to a good mental health year if possible, but life always finds a way to throw a spanner in the works.
24. Did you keep any resolutions?
I can't even remember what I set, but that shows I didn't keep any 😂
Thanks for the ask :)
