Today I went to a memorial for a man that I met some years ago, at the beginning of my professional massage career. We've spent years talking about his life and he would humor me by telling me dad jokes and some farming secrets and what is was like growing up in the depression. When I first started this work, I knew that it had the ability to help and heal. Honestly, that was one of my favorite parts of joining this community of givers. Today at the gathering, my client's nieces were in awe at the thought of their hardworking, farmer uncle getting massage and taking time to relax his aging body. The whole experience was so emotional for me I had a hard time communicating with a room full of strangers but then one of the nieces touched my arm and looked at me point blank and said "you know, you helped keep this man alive! You influenced his longevity" 😳😣ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ holy hell. The feels! That one is still sitting a little heavy on my heart. 💗 I truly feel so lucky to fill my workday full of people who are simply looking to feel better and MAN! what an honor it truly is to be the person they call for help. Let's all try and get old, k?! It surely seems like a fun ride!! #innerworkingsofabeebrain
