Trying to get myself back into the grind of witchcraft after a long time of being out of practice is really tough
Some gifs from my grimoire! :D oh look at my awful handwriting 👀 ahh
Loved the idea of #nofliterwitchcraft so I figured I’d jump in with my most recent grimoire page (95!) and my “tarot deck” (yep, a deck of playing cards. I love them.)
How I made my first ~Jar Spell~ ;Calming spell; Ingredients: 🔹Small container🔸 🔹Epsom salts (for muscle relaxation)🔸 🔹Chamomile (for peace of body and mind)🔸 🔹Jasmine (for a calm soul)🔸 ✨Pour in a thick layer of Epsom salts, covering about half of your container. ✨pour a thin layer of chamomile, only enough to cover the epsom salt ✨top it with jasmine until the container is full. ✨if you would like add a pinch of another calming ingredient/more Epsom salts. 💫sit your container on a bedside table or windowsill for peace and good sleep💫
Does anyone have any knowledge of cultural witchcraft in Louisiana outside of hoodoo? I love learning about that practice as well but it is closed and I definitely do not want to overstep (I am white with European and Native American roots and do not have any known occult/witchcraft practitioners in my family)
I want to incorporate local practices and traditions into my craft, as I have a strong connection with my home and am drawn to the ancestors that lived here. But I of course want to do with without stepping into religious and spiritual beliefs I have no claim to.
I went to the dollar tree today to pick up some little jars, but unfortunately they were out ): so I suppose I’ll have to wait. Hopefully next time I’ll get some though!
Currently making a wand out of air dry clay!! I can’t wait to paint it and see how it turns out, I’ve pressed small “stones” (pretty beads I had laying around) into it, and carved some little lines to make it look vaguely like wood grain
I just cannot wait to see what fun I’ll get up to with this thing
