#inquisition thoughts

I absolutely refuse to believe that Sera would EVER touch one of the shards revealed by the oculara. Which makes it highly entertaining to imagine the dialogue when I have to use her because she’s the easiest to control during the jumping puzzles.

“Please Sera, you’re the best at climbing, and you’re the only one small enough to fit on some of those ledges?”

“Nope. Not doin’ it. Not for one of them magic shiny rock things.”

“Sera, you’re the only one who can do this!”

“I said when we found the first one, I’m not touching anything lit up by a freaking skull.”

“Sera…”

“… Fine, but if I get magicked I’m turning you all into pincushions”

I’ve literally just realised that if you hadn’t done what pride had wrought in inquisition, like if you just never went to the arbor wilds with morrigan, if you just left corypheus to drink from the well....he would have been under flemeth’s control and she would just have been like ‘kill yourself.’ 

But now it’s occured to me that if that happened Solas would probably have retrieved the orb in tact and already sundered everything to shit.

ok but like...am i the only person super put off by inquisitions plot and gameplay??? 

like in 2, everything was so simple. u had hawke. all u had to do was make $$$, help some people and chill with ur friends and it was great. limited maps and environments but i loved it

and now its like INQUISITOR THERES DEMONS FALLING OUT OF THE SKY, FERELDEN IS A GIANT PILE OF SHIT AND IT NEEDS HELP, QUICK MAKE ALLIANCES WITH EVERYONE, ORLAIS POLITICS GO, FUCKING P O L I TIC S

i keep pressing x and my poor inquisitor just keeps jumping in the middle of battles. what am i doing. why is everything so complex?????  i feel like i skipped a game before inquisition or something

i kinda understand why gaider decribed cole with having "the mind of a child". not child-like as in knowing nothing but more as in, open minded and curious about everything. he doesn't understand why people don't want his help, he keeps being pushed away and he doesn't know why that is. he pries into people's minds and questions them about who's who and why's and what's. cole is genuinely curious as to what's happening and how he can help them.

although almost all the inquisition characters/companions w/e are problematic i think that's what makes them more real to me. everyone has different beliefs and flaws and moments. if they were all perfect and charming then it would be a boring game indeed. instead they all have personalities and the way they act towards your inquisitor is a reflection of their personality. it's just like how people are in real life as well.

so I was just watching the choices and consequences inquisition trailer. I think we all know I'm ridiculously excited about everything, but the amounts of power we're giving the Inquisitor just make me a teensy bit nervous. My canon Hawke and Warden are both nobodies who don't really get why everybody keeps giving them so much authority over major events, and that seems to be a defining characteristic that I like for some reason. So it will be interesting to see how comfortable or uncomfortable my Inquisitor is with all this political power behind them.
