The pair were the only ones left at the War Table, so Darvas wasn't uncomfortable remaining silent for several moments as he contemplated the map spread out between them. He gazed upon it all, the little markers, the scraps of notes pinned about. Strange, how the whole world could be condensed to such a... small thing.

"All good things are," he remarked at last, just as it had almost seemed that he wouldn't respond. "Out of reach of so many, and so delicate even when attained." His head tilted slightly, an errant curl sliding across his forehead, and his eyes rose to meet Cullen's. "All that more important then, to hold onto them when we can."

But their dear Spymaster had at least warned them, prior to meeting with the famed 'Hero of Ferelden' in the Western Approach. She'd diplomatically described him as 'distant' and 'stand-offish', particularly with strangers.

'Cold' might have been a more apt term. A hazard of the job, perhaps.

"But if you can manage any good news however, I am eager to hear it. I'm not convinced there is such a thing as 'good news' in this wasteland."
