Found Cassius Warrington! I had been searching for a clear picture for months, and finally found him during a rewatch of OotP. You can find him clearly at 1h 02 m, right after Filch gets spurts on his face and Umbridge breaks her quill in frustration. Draco and his gang are looking wistfully at the recruiting poster for the Inquisitorial Squad. But among them, there is one that pushes confidently between Nigel and one of the Patil twins with smug determination in his handsome face. That’s the attitude of someone who once got up early to put his name in the goblet of fire!
You probably know it already, but just in case: The Cassius Warrington Theory and how it would have changed the course of war and the relationship between the houses.
There is another character that looks more sloth-like in OotP (1h 39m), but he definitely lacks the attitude:
Up until recently, the only official image of Cassius you could find was this one (1h 23m), which thankfully helped me search for him in previous scenes:

Soooo.... just want to say I am BEYOND PLEASED that you are writing more HP fanfic👏🏼 and very excited at the phenomenal pace you’re updating at 🙃😅👏🏼🙌🏽... I’m withholding myself as long as possible so I can read many many words in one sitting, so whilst I’m not asking “when will this be finished?” (Because it’s basically impossible I’ll sustain that level of restraint and it sounds rude🙈), I’m just wondering how much you have planned out or any vague ideas of how long you’re expecting this delight to be? 😁👏🏼💚
[If this has in any way come across as Entitled/Demanding Reader, please do tell me to pipe down and just enjoy the ride 🙈]
Hope you’re well and your 2021 is on an upwards trajectory out of whatever hellscape 2020 was 🥴😅
HELLO DARLING. Thank you so much! I haven’t done anything else since I started it and so have written over 40k in less than two weeks. Praise the very strict lockdown I am in I guess?
2021 is lovely so far I must say.
Now - you’re not being entitled or demanding at all. I also like to read things when they’re finished or at least chunky, though of course if everyone did that we’d never post anything. I’ve written all the way to the end of 6th year and have started the Deathly Hallows equivalent. Sixth year took five chapters in the end - two are already up. So three to post, I’ll probably put one of them up tomorrow.
Then I’m not sure how many are left after that but I’d guess maybe three or four? So let’s say seven more as my best guess. But honestly this was supposed to be a 10K one-shot so.... please don’t hold me to anything!
Imagine: you’re on the inquisitorial squad and you’re set to do a night duty with Draco and the two of you become quite ‘close’ whilst on watch and you get distracted and DA slip past and Umbridge isn’t happy.
P.S - it’s quite a long one
Warnings: smut, fluffiness, drunk Draco ;)
A/N: I made my own gif for the first time today and as you can tell I’m VERY proud
It had been a long day - you had barely slept in the night and had had to deal with double Herbology in the morning. Slumping down on your bed, you groaned as you realised it was only a Tuesday and the pressure from your subjects, Umbridge and your parents had managed to defeat you this early on in the week. “Have you seen the Inquisitorial Squad rota for this week?” Pansy asked as she sat down on her bed which lay adjacent to yours. You hadn’t heard her come in so her voice made you jump slightly.
Opening your eyes, you sighed. “No, not yet.” You reply, and she smirks. Glancing at your alarm clock you noticed that you had 20 minutes before dinner started, your stomach rumbling as you realised how hungry you were. “Well, lucky for you, you’re on night watch with Draco tonight.” You feel your cheeks begin to turn crimson but you ignore it. Pansy had had a crush on Draco since first year, but you’d never told her about your small crush on him too. Usually you’d be excited to spend time with Draco but you were overwhelmed with drowsiness that you’d probably end up embarrassing yourself in front of him. “Tonight? Ugh, I barely slept a wink last night. Typical Umbridge.”
Pansy rolls her eyes. “Be grateful, Y/N. She’s the best teacher Hogwarts have seen for a while - at least she’s making a change. Besides, I’d happily take your place...” You shake your head, sitting up. No way were you going to let Pansy swoop in and have even more to brag about when it came to Draco. “No, no it’s fine. It’s a Tuesday night, and I can’t imagine there being much to do. She’ll probably let us go early.” Pansy nods her head, playing with a strand of her hair. She begins to recount how great Draco looked today and you nod along, obviously agreeing, but zoning out. As much as you loved Pansy, all she ever really talked about nowadays was Draco, especially considering their parents have been talking about a possible marriage between the two one day in the future. It hurt your heart a little, but it was bound to happen sooner or later - the Parkinson family were pure bloods. If they make a choice, it happens, and besides, you were really close to Draco, and he’d told you multiple times after one too many firewhiskeys that he thought you were hot.
You allowed Pansy to drone on until it was time for dinner. Shifting from your beds to the door, the two of you began to make your way out of the dungeons. The aroma of dinner made your mouth water as you reminded yourself how hungry you were. You sat opposite Pansy at the Slytherin table and began to load some food onto your plate. As you were about to take your first bite, you felt a hand on your back. Jumping slightly, you whipped your head around to be met by the familiar face of Draco. “Ready for tonight, Y/N?” He smirked before taking a seat next to you. His smirk made your insides twist and turn with butterflies but you played it off.
“Can’t wait.” You replied, rolling your eyes. He smiled and shook his head, throwing a handful of chips onto his plate. “Tuesday night is gonna be a killer, but maybe we’ll catch Potter’s band of losers, if we’re not too busy that is.” Draco mumbled the last bit, so that only you could hear, as he gave a wink. “I doubt we’ll be that busy.” You reply innocently, pretending you didn’t catch on to what he really meant. Or, at least what you thought he meant. Draco shakes his head in defeat, looking down at his plate for the rest of dinner.
Later that evening, you sauntered your way to the corridor you and Draco were keeping a lookout on - it was right outside the Room of Requirement, where Umbridge was certain the secret DA meetings were taking place. As you turned the corner, you saw him standing there and something washed over you - just seeing him alone, looking extremely hot (not to mention you were tired) you don’t know why, but you would do anything to just push him up against a wall and let him kiss you. Hard. Maybe it was his comment at dinner or maybe it was something else deep down. The drunken confessions from Draco were never talked about between either of you, and you were convinced that as far as Draco was concerned, that’s all they were - drunken slurs. But there was still a part of you that was convinced he really did want you.
“I’ve gotta say, Y/N, I’m really glad we got paired up together tonight. There’s no way I could’ve bared Pansy drone on about our families’ arranged meal next week all night.” He smiles genuinely. Your heart panged slightly when you remembered the reality of the situation - Draco would never be able to date you if Lucius and Narcissa had already settled on the Parkinsons. “Please, don’t bring it up.” You mumble, looking down at the floor. Your stomach was still tied in knots - if only you could just muster up the courage to kiss him. “What’s up? You’re never usually like this when we’re alone...” Draco mumbles the last bit, placing a hand on the small of your back as he lifts up your chin with his other. Your insides burned up at what he meant, but you had to push it aside. Did Draco really have feelings for you or were you just another girl he could have some fun with?
“Girls for now, girls for later, right?” You ask, biting your lip. You could hardly believe you had said it - but you didn’t regret it. A look of hurt flashes across his eyes as his mouth falls open slightly. “What does that even mean? Don’t tell me you’re jealous of Pansy, Y/N.” You look down again. Truth be told, yeah - you were. Pansy was probably gonna end up having a life with Draco, and you knew it wasn’t on the cards for you. “Do you even remember the first Slytherin party we went to? What happened that night?” You ask, watching his reaction.
“Of course I do, what does it matter?” He asks, scratching the back of his neck. It was the first time he had gotten drunk. You had to walk him back to his dorm as it was still only 11pm, and it was the first time he ever really confessed any sort of hints that he saw you as anything more than a friend. “I walked you back to your dorm, and you asked me to stay. Remember?” Draco nods, urging you to continue. “I stayed, and you kept on telling me that the room was spinning too fast, so you made come lay with you. You were wearing that cute jumper, you know the one that Blaise laughed at because it was burgundy, and I said it was cute way back in third year. You wore it, and you told me you were wearing it for me, in the hopes that I’d figure out that you liked me. Well, I waited up the next morning - we agreed to watch the sunrise over the Black Lake, but you never showed. I always assumed you just didn’t remember, but was it because you realised that nothing could ever happen between us? I bet that if it were Pansy it’d be different.” You ramble on, a mixture of anger and sadness building up inside of you.
Draco smirked, running his hand through his hair. “Yeah, I remember telling you that I wore it for you - that was true. But I thought we agreed to watch the stars together over the Black Lake? I showed up at 6pm with a picnic blanket and some snacks but you were a no-show. You even ignored me for the whole day - I thought I’d scared you off... I guess it was a case of miscommunication?” Draco chuckles. Seriously? It’s been two years and he’s only now telling you this? “Wait what?”
“I don’t like Pansy, Y/N. My parents know that. They also know that I’m crazy about you.” Draco smiles, taking a step closer. The butterflies in your stomach return, but this time you feel them all over your body. Surely this was a dream - there was no way Draco Malfoy actually really did like you back? “You mean that?” You ask, and he nods. Slowly, he leans in and lets his lips brush yours, catching each other’s gaze before deepening the kiss. His hands begin to explore your body, and you couldn’t help but notice how his strong arms feel wrapped around your frame. Despite all the late night flirting, this was the first time the two of you had actually kissed, and no figment of your imagination could compare to the real thing. Draco walks you up against the wall and you feel the cold stone against the exposed skin on your back from where your grey cardigan had began to ride up from Draco’s urgent touch.
His lips were like a drug - with every second that passed, you needed his touch more and more. His fingers curled under the top of your skirt as he flatted out his hands and slid them round to the bottom of your back. You allowed your hands to make their way up his chest, unbuttoning his top two buttons and loosening his tie. You didn’t care about anything except Draco - Umbridge could come along at any second and you would still be the happiest girl in the world.
Draco follows suit and pulls off your green tie, letting it fall to the floor, as he begins to unbutton your shirt. You silently thank your friends from back home for taking you lingerie shopping in the summer as Draco moans against your lips as his hands run along the red lace of your bra. Smirking, you break the kiss to whisper in his ear, “You like it?” He nods before starting to kiss your neck as he caresses the lacy fabric. You moan quietly into his ear and clasp onto the baby hairs at the cape of his neck, releasing a similar moan from Draco.
In the corner of your eye, you spot the slightest glimpse of movement turning the corner. Jumping up, you pull Draco off of you, him sputtering apologies that he shouldn’t have taken it so far, so you silence him with a quick “Shh!” You grab your tie and do your buttons up as you slowly creep towards the corner, motioning for him to follow you. You peak your head around, spotting the familiar ginger hair of the Weasley twins and bright blonde locks of Luna Lovegood padding towards the end of the second corridor. Sighing, you allow your cheeks to heat up. “We missed them, but they certainly didn’t miss what we were getting up to.” Draco smirks, readjusting his tie. “Oh well, we’ll get them another time. For right now, I have everything I want.” He pulls you in, pecking you on the lips. You both laugh. “Draco, that was sweet but so cringey!” He chuckles. “Come on, I’ll walk you back to your dorm.” He lifts you up and slings you over his shoulder. You cry out in laughter, chuckling when he slaps your arse and begins heading in the direction of the common room.
“What on Earth were the two of you doing to let them slip past?” Umbridge asks. You were called into her office alongside Draco - you weren’t sure how she had found out, but she had. You just hoped she didn’t know the full story of last night’s antics. After the two of your had got back to the common room, you had continued your make-out sessions on one of the leather sofas but decided to head back to your separate dorms before you both went too far.
“Professor, we were preoccupied with a pair of third years for a good portion of time - Y/N had heard footsteps down the hall, and had come back with a girl and boy from Gryffindor. We didn’t catch their names but they were sneaking around the castle at night, Y/N and I could only guess what they had been getting up to. They escaped before we had a proper chance to punish them.” Draco lied, and Umbridge believed every word.
“Very well - you two are dismissed. But I don’t want this to happen again.” Umbridge replied, allowing the two of you to get up. “Oh, we promise Professor, it won’t.” You reply with a smile before leaving. As soon as you leave, Draco shoots you a wink. “Don’t worry, love, I had a story planned out since this morning. But you should probably hide that love bite.” Draco winks before grabbing your hand. You curse as you do your best to cover up your neck with your cloak. As much as you loved him, he was already a pain in the arse.
