TBF, Logan is like ridiculously old and existed long before the idea of Japanophilia/weeaboo. So it wouldn’t be QUITE accurate to give him that descriptor anyhow. Tho I do wish they’d like put it more into a different light when it comes to his relationship w/ Japan. Especially given how depending on verse he’s had relationships with at least one Japanese woman and of course he has a mixed Japanese son.
Like. The Wolverine (movie) kinda went there? But also Didn’t. For me I always felt like Logan’s relationship to Japan was less weeaboo and more actually legitimately respectful. Which it is possible but unfortunately people tend to be super quick with the term to the point I’ve seen people use it for people of actual Japanese (or even Chinese???!!!) descent (i literally saw someone say Kai Leng was a weeaboo like do y’all even think for two seconds before you say something or nah?)
