Perched against the bar’s cold and surprisingly non-sticky counter, Jeff waited patiently for his new acquaintance, Adam. The music wasn’t too overbearing and he knew he would actually be able to carry on a conversation without having to yell, and he was thankful for that. There were a handful of people at the bar along with him, but the stool next to him was empty. He was considering moving to a table, but would wait until his friend came in before he made that decision, knowing that he was more visible where he was.
