ADBK: Giant Flea

Biography: Absorbing energy like a well-placed sapper, Morbidus the Giant Flea is an Insect General dreaded by all! He was hatched not long after Kamakiriman established himself as a powerful and vicious General in his own right, and his high speed proved him worthy of that promotion from commander.

In fact, he's one of the few Commanders to make that leap, pun not intended, his clones proving the bane of all who are overwhelmed by him. Unfortunately for the Giant Flea, Morbidus is also not much for defenses, making him easy to break when someone finally hits him.

ADBK: Big Insect

Epithet: The Grand Jungle Army

Tribe: The Arthropod Empire

Biography: Here's an Insect who has a bit more mob mentality when compared to her fellow commanders. Nicknamed Black Velvet for her deep, dark colors, the commander of the Big Insects marched across the battlefield like a carpet of overwhelming force.

However, aside from taking a page from the army ant's book and using their unity and overall numbers to win the day, Velvet isn't much for brainpower. As such, Big Insects are mainly the infantry, usually on the front lines along with the Basic Insects and Gokibores.

ADBK: Gokibore

Epithet: The Fuming Ball

Tribe: The Arthropod Empire

Biography: This commander's a bit more simple-minded compared to his other cloneable colleagues. Nicknamed Stenchbucket, this hybrid of roach and stink bug is just as hard to get rid of as the former, and smells as bad as the latter.

He's not much for forethought, bouncing into the enemy with a stench meant to immobilize enemies in a fit of nausea and pain. However, he's also one of the easiest to take out due to his less-than-brilliant tactics in a fight. As such, he's usually reserved for surprise attacks when facing large amounts of opponents.

ADBK: Basic Insect

Epithet: The Technological Wizard of the Empire

Voice Actor: Rob Paulsen

Tribe: The Arthropod Empire

Biography: At first glance, the Arthropod Empire seems to be primarily forest-based. And while that may be true, Insect Queen is more than aware of places beyond their wooded homeland.

One bug in particular has journeyed to, spied on and studied the works of the Machinations Tribe out in the Wasteland of Empty Thoughts.

Enter Chiton, the commander of the Basic Insects. One of the first cloned commanders, he used his knowledge of the Machine monsters to construct a Laser Cannon and Power Boost upgrade for his exoskeleton.

Of course, it's still in development for other bugs, but Chiton has used this to great effect over the years. He's been able to get the better of many skilled warriors this way, but still has to contend with a particularly bothersome pest of his own.

Said enemy is the Armed Ninja, whose special armor grants him some Machine-like qualities, allowing him to keep up and potentially disarm Chiton's equipment with his ninjutsu techniques.

Nonetheless, Chiton continues to fight the good fight for his Queen, even if he has to contend with his older and snobby brother Kamakiriman.

ADBK: Hercules Beetle

Epithet: The Beetle Bull

Tribe: The Arthropod Empire

Biography: Much like Gokibore, this is another fairly simple-minded Insect commander, using his fierce horns and chiton-crescent attacks to win the day. Nicknamed Stampede for his great charges, he prefers to grab or ram into enemies and throw them into the air to be attacked by airborne allies.

However, he's also easy to overwhelm with smaller opponents should they be fast enough to evade his swings. As such, he's usually a tank meant to defend faster Insects and plow through large crowds of foes.

ADBK: Killer Needle

Epithet: The Swift Stinger

Voice Actor: Charlie Adler

Tribe: The Arthropod Empire

Biography: The armies of the Arthropod Empire are vast, and many of Insect Queen's generals command up to a thousand bugs at a time, many of them clones of several commanders. This is one of the most common along with Basic and Big Insects. Killer Needles have a similar mentality to hornets, slicing and dicing as much as using their stingers to inject poison into their enemies!

The main commander of these buzzing bombers is nicknamed Vesper, and she commands these sisters of the skies with all the grace of a swarm of locusts!

She's often paired with the Moth Twins, and is very devout in her worship of them and Insect Queen. Vesper will protect them with her life, and has died for them on multiple occasions.

However, much like Machines from the Machinations, Insect Queen can respawn commanders and their minions as easy as any factory. As such, she's gained many enemies and fought many battles over her campaigns. So the next time you hear a great cacophony of buzzing, run in the opposite direction!

ADBK: Dungeon Worm

Epithet: The Labyrinth's Underground Menace

Tribe: The Arthropod Empire

Biography: The battleground that is the Labyrinth of Treachery is wrought with many perils; Dharma Cannon laser shots, the conniving Shadow Ghoul, and of course, the duo of Jirai Gumo and Dungeon Worm! Being about the size of a bus, this giant worm is incredibly versatile and and surprisingly fast on its nonexistent feet.

He may not be able to hear or see very well, but he can feel the vibrations of his prey and rivals for the Labyrinth's control. Dungeon Worm often works with Monster Tamer as well as Jirai, proving to be a devastating combo that kills all in his path!

That said, his power only goes so far, and either side's sonar functions prevent any one side from falling victim to his strengths. That, and the Monster Tamer can't navigate the Labyrinth itself, making him a big target for those outside the maze.

ADBK: Jirai Gumo

Epithet: The Web Weaving Entangler

Tribe: The Arthropod Empire

Biography: The Labyrinth of Treachery is highly difficult to navigate, full of various magical properties, traps, and vile monsters lurking around every turn!

Aside from Dungeon Worm, Jirai Gumo knows this maze inside and out, able to use his carefully placed triplines to detect prey and pounce from the dark shadows that blanket much of the Labyrinth corners.

He was hatched not long after the birth of commander Kamakiriman, and learned how to conceal his movements, his form, and even his smell from opponents from the surprisingly versatile Basic Insect commander Chiton.

Jirai has since worked with Dungeon Worm, and a rare human ally in the form of the Monster Tamer to try and conquer the Labyrinth! Of course, he has to contend with Shadow Ghoul, Labyrinth Tank, and Catapult Turtle as he hunts the unwary, and has more than once been burned by Catapult's laser fire.
