here comes Convertors Insectors named Morphus, yeees, you just knew it’s a knock off figures due to that crazy name.. like heck, Convertors Insectors, make up your mind!!!

1984 Convertors Insectors: Morphus (robot mode) By ??? (knock off)

but this was a unique Japanese knock off figure from back in 1984, during the Gen 1 or G! of Transformers moving the franchise or licensing to USA, some Japanese manufacturers still cant let go and produced these beauties, hahahah... not too shabby IMO, I just love em cause of the crazy name and the camp values I guess...?

I’m getting a surprising amount of reblogs on the Insektors playlist post!!! A. YES, B. LET ME TALK INSEKTORS TO YOU

There’s so much extra depth to the world build even if it’s a weirdly dubbed CGI cartoon from the 90s????? Like holy shit you guys

For example, I finally figured out why the antagonist queen is so freaking cold all the time. She’s a mantis (specifically a devil flower mantis in subadult colours) she and her son even have the correct sexual dimorphism of antenna.

But ok, the ‘bad guys’ live in a tree stump in a marsh, they’re all weevils and beetles who eat wood in their grub stage, like stag & rhino beetles. OF COURSE SHE’S COLD she’s a tropical insect she’s not built to live in a weird piece of damp tree. Why is she even their queen, why do they tolerate this nonsense? I’m assuming it’s because she’s absolutely terrifying and the only carnivore insect in the entire show. (except for maybe the dragonflies but I think they’re biotech).

it probably took me borderline 20 years to realise this considering I was about 3 when the show was produced.
