I drove today! I went to 7-11 and got a little treat. It’s only as uncomfortable as being a passenger, and the mental load isn’t too much. Still not my favorite thing to do though.

Soba jumpscared me! He’d been taking it easy on me, but today, he came flying out of nowhere! Mighty hunter! Good kitty!

The Broncos lost and absolutely tanked their playoff chances. They have to beat the Chiefs next week to get in. lol

I keep falling asleep and it’s getting on my nerves. I wish I wouldn’t, but my body needs the sleep, so I just go with it (grudgingly). This better stop by the time I have to go back to work.

I can have caffeine again! All is right with the world!

Starting off with some dunkies, because I couldn’t wait until I got home.

(Also the rest of my post op went fine, my wounds are healing slowly, and I should just keep doing what I’m doing)

I’ve done two things: taken a shower, and gone to the store for some magnesium. (I’ve been having restless legs. I only slept 4 hours last night, fuck this shit)

Does this mean I can be done? I think so! I’m making the executive decision that I’m done for the day.

Side note: the magnesium gummies taste like pot gummies and now I’m craving HARD. But it hasn’t been 6 weeks since my surgery, and I don’t know if I’m going back to the OR, so no weed for me. 🥺

Now Twin Bro and I are talking Stardew Valley. I started a game right after surgery and I’ve been super into it.

(I’m trying to get the cut scene where I have all the girls at 10 hearts, yet I have 8 with Sebastian. I have a type, I can’t help it)

My abs hurt. My nose is irritated because of the oxygen. My drain sites sting. I have no energy. Showers are excruciating. I’m bored and want more in person interactions. And today is the day that all of this stuff is suddenly Not Okay. I’ve tolerated it long enough.

Of course, there’s nothing to do but tolerate it longer. Lean on my coping skills. Make bids for connection. And watch the Bucs fuck the cowboys up. (Hopefully.)

I’ll be calling the clinic tomorrow for more oxys, and the oxygen company for more tanks so I can go to Christmas dinner as well as my appointments on Thursday.

UGH THIS SUCKS.

My body just noped out.

I took a shower ~and~ washed my face, which was too much. Then I got too hot, my muscles cramped up, and my vision started closing in.

I got out of the shower, grabbed a towel, and sat on the shower chair (which doesn’t fit in the shower lol) until the moment passed. Now I’m on the recliner, sucking down oxygen and air drying. I’ll get dressed in about 5 more minutes.

What a scary moment!

And what an infuriating reminder that I’m not even close to well yet.

So! Three of my incisions are infected. I have a whole-ass wound care regimen now. It’s important for me to be diligent about it, or the wounds could open up and I’d end up back in the operating room.

So I’ll add them to my morning and night routines, do my best every time, and go back next week to hopefully get good news.

For now, I’m absolutely wrecked. I’m so tired and in so much stinging, annoying pain from the first round of wound care. I’m gonna sit here on the recliner and if I fall asleep, I’ll know it’s because I needed it.

It’s 16:00 and my extra oxygen tank hasn’t arrived yet. I am a little nervous.

The oxygen company’s office closes at 17:00. I don’t know if deliveries stop then.

I might actually have to miss Christmas dinner.

I know Husband will bring back a ton of leftovers, but it’s not the same. I’ll legit be alone on Christmas if I don’t get that oxygen.
