Today was Pike Place Market. I got Things!

The habanero jelly and the Cat Gamer manga are for Husband. The stickers and soap are for me.

Then we went on a harbor tour…

(Doesn’t the humidity make my hair look excellent? Not even kidding)

The coolest part was the container ships and related infrastructure!! Did you know that the Cassiopeia can hold 6,000 containers?! It wasn’t fully loaded.

It took everything I had not to jump up and down and squee and take hundreds of pictures of the Cassiopeia and ask a million questions. The tour guide even mentioned one of my favorite books! (Moby-Duck, about how a shipping container of toys falls overboard and breaks open, letting loose tens of thousands of bath toys; oceanographers use the toys’ trajectories to map out ocean currents!)

After that, lunch and home and Mario Kart World. It’s amazing. The graphics and art direction are 😗👌

Tonight, we get a sushi dinner. Sushi from the ocean. The one that’s RIGHT THERE.

Tomorrow is my last day here. I get to check out the best coffee shop, the kpop store, the bookstore, and fly out around 19:30.

I am so incredibly spoiled. This whole trip has been just what I’ve needed.

I GET TO GO TO SEATTLE THIS WEEKEND

Twin Bro and @unic0rnthe0ry are flying me out, just for the weekend, and it’s gonna be so fun!!

I get to see the market! And the Space Needle! (Get to scare the shit out of Little Bro by taking a pic from the top) And the water!

AND I GET BRO TIME

I feel bad missing a weekend of doordashing, I might dip into my savings and pay the joint account a couple hundred for my absence if we need it, but damn. I get to go to Seattle!!

Now I’m in full on travel mode—laundry, download the apps that I need (frontier and orca card), plan out routes, how am I getting to the airport and back, etc.

Traveling while sick is officially The Fucking Worst (tm) (R) (c)

But I made it to the airport, through security (ouch, the DayQuil wore off in line), to a newsstand to get meds, to my gate. Now I’m not moving until an airplane happens.

If we land at the very end of the airport in Denver at the dedicated frontier gates—and I have to walk all that way—I might actually cry.

Anyway my body hurts and my throat hurts and I’m so tired and I want dinner but I’m not walking around anymore. I’ll buy something on the plane.

And then it was time for a much-needed nap 😴, then dinner at one of the best diners I’ve been to in a long time. (I devoured my French toast before I could take a picture)

Now we’re listening to vinyl and shooting the shit. 🥰 I so needed this.

36 hours to go.

But that’s not super important right now because I GOT TO HANG OUT WITH TWIN BRO!! 😁😁

I mean, I got to hang out with him the last three nights, too, but only for a couple hours each night since I was working.

But! Today! I came home from work, we got all hopped up on Dutch Bros, grabbed Husband and ate some Mexican food for lunch (my first chilaquiles experience!), and watched the Nuggets lose. After that, it was time to take Twin Bro to the airport.

Sometimes I forget that he’s hilarious. There are so many more places a conversation can go when it’s live.

The cat, as predicted, wanted to kill him. (Soba does not like rival males in his territory. If you’re not Husband, Cory, or female, you are sus and must be eliminated)

Momo is in love with him and is bummed that he’s gone.

I have to take down the air mattress and clean up a bit, but for now, I’ve assumed the position on the recliner. I’m chillin. It’s been a good week, despite having to start over. I got BRO TIME, that’s more important than work.

Now to plan a trip to Seattle! Goal: early August
