Hihihi I’ve utterly fallen in love with your takes on cocky and assertive Cregan, and it’s got my gears turning… what if bolton!reader and Cregan are in an arranged marriage in order to restore peace. (because in true bolton fashion, they just had to rebel) And reader harbors some resentment towards the marriage and is snippy and defiant with Cregan by constantly questioning his authority, especially in front of his men. Because this + Cregans issue about people “thwarting” his authority via his uncle; their marriage ensues into an enemies to lovers type beat. Poor Cregan has a complex and bolton!reader makes it worse with her attitude 😭 it all started with a petty argument between the two and Cregan cuts her off with a simple “mind your tongue”. But reader keeps going unmoved and says bold and it goes quiet. Cregan gets up from where he was sat and slowly stalks her into a corner. With fury in his eyes they just stare at each other waiting. Eventually the tension boils over, Cregan has a gloved hand on the nape and kisses her breathlessly with heaviness and nips similar to the direwolf sigil. they have semi rough (wolf-ish dare I say) hate sex… on the floor.. on the fur rug.. in front of the fire. He asserts and reminds her that above all, he is the wolf of the north; AND☝️ that it didn’t matter how "strong, defiant, and nonconforming" you think you are— Cregan can, and will wrestle you into submission. I mean he’ll use his damn near animalistic strength to haul you up, down, and around to where he wants you and afterwards Cregan is ever so cocky after getting the defiant bolton!reader, to submit which evidently knocks her ego down couple of notches. No matter how she plays him down, the bites and scratches and the never ending string of moans heard down the halls tells it all like how a picture has a thousand words.
