The Gallery Upstairs Open: ‘INSIDE DORSET’

An exhibition of selected work hosted by Poole & East Dorset Art Society.  

Artists living within 15 miles of Poole have risen to the challenge of creating new and original artworks inspired by the county of Dorset. Here artists have turned away from the typical coastal scenes and considered the Inside Dorset aspect, its hinterland, heritage and identity.

Calling Artists:

The Gallery Upstairs, Upton Country Park is calling for artists within 15 miles of Poole to submit work in any medium for this year’s OPEN exhibition, entitledINSIDE DORSET.

A spokesman explained:  “Asking artists to turn away from the coastline and explore the wonderful hinterland of Dorset is just one interpretation of ‘Inside Dorset’. History, landscape, people, industry, culture, transport… all potential topics for celebrating Dorset.”

Submission is Wednesday 29th November. The exhibition is held at The Gallery Upstairs, Upton Country Park, 2nd December to Christmas.
