How do I feel when I listen - Fall Out Boy
T I was wondering how to start a music serie about the Bands that I like and some meaningful songs that relates directly to my life, so yesterday I decided to listen the old FOB CDs and read their lyrics, and in the end I was in tears cause they were so powerful and reminded me a lot about my teenage times.
Fall Out Boy is a band that was an indication of Hollow. He really loved their album ´Save Rock and Roll´ and put me to listen it all. At the first time I hated it because of some bad lyrics, but then I decided to listen again and pay attention on the songs and I discovered some of my favorites songs “Miss missing you” “Light em’up” “Just One Yesterday” and “Where did the party go”. Them I decided to search more about them and a song that fitted perfectly to the moment I was apart from Malev was “Thnks fr th Mmrs” and I listened to the hole album “Infinity on high” and I LOVED IT.
The old FOB ( FUTCT/IOH) take me back to the time I was teenager, nerd and emo ( even I didn’t had the appearance).The lyrics perfectly talks about my failure to find love, and my clumsiness with crushes like Andrew and Menezes. They also make me imagine how it could be if Hollow and i studied at the same school ( we studied, but in different cities) and how it could be if we were friends ( or boyfriends) how we could live things and overcome our insecurities.That’s really funny how a nerd teenage lived many stories and didn’t realize how meaningful they were, and maybe I could live it again more intensely, without the fear of being nerd or emo,or otaku, Cause it was me, but I couldn’t show up my real identity to people. I got really frustrated because of it.
My favorite songs of these Old times are

4- This Ain't A Scene, It's An Arms Race
5- I don’t Care
and an special mention to Nobody Puts Baby in the Corner because this song is so powerful.Of course these 2 CDs of FOB are amazing ( and the EP Folie á Deux too).
The New era of FOB ( SRAR/AB\AP ) talks more about my present, and some stories i lived with Hollow. The lyrics of “Miss missing you”, “Just One yesterday” “Where did the Party go” “4th of July” and “Jet Pack Blues” describes my history with Hollow, the ups and downs, the fights, the funny moments, my love for him, my sadness, the times we were apart and the times I wish I could be beside him.
Another songs makes me reflect in a mature way about myself and feelings. It’s like the emo grew up and realized that her emotional isn’t OK at all and She needs to understand more herself to overcome it.
My favorite songs of the New era besides the ones I mentioned absolutely are:
1- The Kids aren’t alright
2- Light em’ up
3 - Centuries
4- Twin Skeleton
5- The phoenix
An special mention to the remix album of AB\AP “Make America Pshyco again” that is AMAZING. I listen it like a Nigga. hahaahahah.
They mean a lot to me.
