1. Debate Mate

2. Stock Market Challenge

3. Theatre Workshop

All masterclasses will be starting at 1:45pm so please meet in the JCR promptly for that time.

Insight Masterclasses

You should already have selected the Insight Masterclass which you would like to attend this afternoon but, if you have not, please come to the counsellors office as soon as possible to do so. The options are as follows:

1. Acting Workshop- Participate in a range of exercises designed to challenge your perceptions of acting and put you through your paces.

2. Business Challenge- Do you have the necessary entrepreneurial skills to run a successful business? One of our most popular activities at St Peter’s this summer!

3. Journalism Workshop- Do we have any aspiring journalists? Come along to learn the skills required to produce successful journalistic pieces.

4. Debate- Learn how to construct a strong argument and test yourself against an opponent. A great opportunity to improve your confidence and public speaking skills in a friendly and supportive environment.

5. Animal Handling- Come along to learn about and handle an exciting range of animals from a guinea pig to a frog and scorpion.

6. Animation Workshop- Come up with your own story and create a short stop motion movie with plasticine creatures.

Today, you will have morning lessons followed by lunch and then Insight Masterclasses. These are workshops on a broad range of different topics, led by experts in their fields. After dinner we will be running counsellor led activities. You will have a chance to sign up for these at lunchtime today.

We hope you enjoyed yesterday’s tour of Oxford and quiz night and are beginning to feel more at home here now.

This afternoon, after lunch, we will have our insight masterclasses. Make sure you have signed up to one of the following:

Animal Handling- come along to meet and handle a diverse range of animals from a giant snail to a snake.

Business Challenge- compete against other teams to run a successful business.

Debating/Public Speaking workshop- come along to learn new presentation and delivery skills.

Contemporary Acting workshop- perfect if you aspire to be on the stage.

Journalism workshop- do we have any aspiring writers? This is a great opportunity to develop your skills.
