After you fill out the form, a message will display a link to the Discord server. Joining the server is required. If this link doesn't work, send an ask to the blog or DM a mod (@kinglazrus, @bibliophilea, @strawberrycamel, @underforeversgrace).

What is a Big Bang?

It’s a collaborative event that takes place over several months, where authors write a fic, and artists are paired with authors to create art based on those fics. Everything is posted during the last week, creating the big bang of content for which the event is named.

Authors (and beta readers) sign up now, while artists sign up halfway through the event.

What do authors need to know?

Minimum word count is 5k; there is no maximum.

Crossovers are allowed but must be clearly labelled.

Writing partners can join as a team.

Fics must meet the guidelines provided in our info doc, which you can find here.

Secret Sanguinala Signups Are Open!

Signups are open! You will need to request and offer at least 3* characters or relationships from the extensive list of nominated tags. In your requests you can suggest prompts for things you'd enjoy, and list DNWs (things you Do Not Want) that should not be included in gifts for you.

The signup form has more detailed instructions and the full exchange rules are on the profile -- please make sure you're comfortable with the rules before you sign up.

If you're unsure what to offer or want to see other people's ideas for inspiration, you can browse the request summary to see other people's prompts.

Signup For Bingo

To signup for Fallout Fanfic Bingo, you just have to state your desire to participate in the fanfic event, either by replying to this post, reblogging with your intent to join, or DM'ing the blog, before May 1st.

On May 1st, the Bingo cards will be DM'd to everyone who signed up. If your DMs are not turned on, I will attempt to get your Bingo card to you through your ask box, and finally will ask on one of your posts the best way to get it to you. If this does not elicit a response, you will not be included in the event.

Starting as soon as you get your Bingo card, you may begin writing a fic that covers the prompts in the squares.

You will have until July 1st in your timezone to post a fic and notify the blog of the title and where it is posted in order for it to be counted for the Bingo and promoted on the blog.

Awards will be handed out as soon as I have read all the fics posted for the Bingo and confirmed they covered the prompts claimed.

Here's some more info on what each role does.

Moderator: Assists me in making sure everyone is following the rules and helps participants when they need help. Can still create a project for the zine if they would like.

Artist: Creates art for the zine. May be full-pages or may collaborate with writers.

Writer: Writes for the zine. May write poems or short stories between a thousand and three thousand words. If you have another form of writing you would like to do, please reach out.

Beta readers: Assists writers by reading their work and pointing out any technical issues (grammar, spelling, etc) and suggestions for any changes. Reccomended if you have less time on your hands but still want to participate.

Formatters: Will help put the zine together when it is finished in a pdf file. Reccomended if you have less time on your hands but still want to participate.

Back-ups: Will be backups for any role listed above. If someone drops out or is kicked from the project, a backup will take their place. Will require faster work in some cases. Having ideas prepared is reccomended.
