       No matter how fancy Lakewood seemed to be, it was just like any other school I had been to. Every fist day of school was full of fluff. “Make sure you get 2 binders, 3 folders, here’s the syllabus...” It was all about the rundown. All of that silly shit that everyone seems to forget about midway through the year. My entire day was just full of fluff.

      I sat in the library thumbing through the pages of my psychology textbook. The scent of faded pages was all around me. I wasn’t sure if it was my book or the library itself. ‘Psychology is the scientific study of the mind and behavior...’ My eyes roamed back and forth along the black and white text, but somehow all of these colors appeared.

     As if I were right there, I saw David again. It was Thursday night, and we were back in his room. A vibrating phone, hesitation, and then a touch on the small of my back. The memory was still there. Hell, I could still feel the warmth from his hands. 

     Focus! Freaking focus! The voice in my head was getting frustrated. I wanted to knock that chapter out of the way before I got home. The less work to do, the better. My mind was in control though, and it just kept bringing up those memories from Thursday night. If only there was a chapter for how to control your thoughts...
