‘I can’t quite remember what I meant 💀 [lol oops]
I think I meant that Paul no longer tried in school because a) he’s said that after he got 90% on a Latin exam, he no longer felt like he had to try anymore and b) the pressure of home life and having to take on a lot of grown up responsibilities and his escape into music resulted in his grades suffering.
The school leaving age in England in the 50s was 15 and Paul was already known as a bit of a Lothario by the time he was in his late-teens even though in ‘Fab: An Intimate Life of Paul McCartney’ he is described as: ‘A pale, unsporty lad with a tendency to podginess, Paul was no teenage Adonis’ (Adonis is the Greek God of Beauty and Desire).
Perhaps Paul felt he was practically an adult and like I mentioned in a previous message, it might have partly been by becoming sexually active, which sounds like I’m pinpointing that as his reason for losing interest in school, but I’m not (!): I’m just saying that he wasn’t legally obligated to go to school once he turned 15, which he I’m sure he would’ve been completely aware of and he would’ve still been grieving Mary’s death, plus there’s the household duties/looking after Mike/being ‘disciplined’ (😠) by Jim and his interest in music, that would’ve all contributed to him flunking school and no longer being interested in academics.
Paul also said in an interview that he remembered seeing kids playing outside in a field (or maybe a park) having fun, so maybe he felt like he didn’t have much of a childhood?
Michael Jackson said basically the same thing, which is that he felt he never really had a childhood and he’d see kids his age having fun while he was stuck doing work.
Also, it’s just crossed my mind, but I just realised that John’s father Alfred was married to a woman called *Pauline* 👀
It’s like the universe was playing a joke on them lol’
Wild 🥴
I regularly get messages (both DMs and comments) from sugar daddies/mummies and foot fetishists on many of the social media I’m on including Tumblr, but this Insta DM is on a whole different level. I was willing to bet that judging by this guy’s page he was also a legal adult.
Plz this is the best DM I ever got
Translation:
"Do you actually draw 24/7 or what??"
"That's my life. That's all I got"
do you like mine?
