Okay THIS is why instagram is The Devil. I told myself I would just watch a couple more reels before I started the new chapter of my fav fic by MeepySlow that just updated. The one that I couldn’t read last night because ao3 was down. THAT WAS THE DEVIL TALKING. Because now ao3 is down again and I SQUANDERED the time I could’ve been reading. My HUBRIS has shamed me this day.

It is miraculous to me how much my day to day Rotting Time is improved by simply not looking at Instagram. Yes I’m not being productive yes im avoiding responsibilities. But. I have a nice little coffee and I’m reading and book and listening to my records instead of watching short form content. Surely if I spent the majority of this winter break on Instagram instead of reading and making crafts i would have been diagnosed with anti depressants much sooner

people who post selfies everyday make me uncomfortable because its clear they are seeking approval
