After the Dark

This indie science fiction film is on Netflix Instant and is worth watching. I've decided that when I see a lesser-known film that I think is worth it, I'm going to post it on this blog. I think other people should do the same.

After the Dark is about philosophy, human nature, and the value of humans (regarding skill sets, disabilities, demeanor, sexuality, temper). Keep in mind they didn't have a Harry Potter/Comic Book Movie/Avatar budget if you give it a go- it's all about the writing.

8/10 stars. That would be a B in school so that's what I'll give it, but only because the last 5 minutes should have been cut. Had this film had a bullshit superhero budget, it probably would have been absolutely epic and everyone would be talking about it.

I thoroughly enjoyed it and am glad I gave it a chance. Here is the link to this film on Netflix.

Les Amours Imaginaires (Heartbeats)

This film follows two friends who fall in love with the same person. An Adonis. I found it to be hilarious because I think the scenarios in the film are common scenarios most people face in the pursuit of love--namely unrequited love. I think we can see a little of ourselves in the two main characters.

Spending my days working my way through the horror movies on Netflix. Today I watched The Ward and The Innkeepers.

netflix is trying to tempt me to watch Sword Art Online

it was pretty high on my list to watch

until i found out it was getting a second season

and i dont need another thing to keep up with. i want to watch finished things. so i'll wait until the 2nd season is all nicely aired and available to watch at my leisure.

but there it is setting on instant watch whispering: "watch me please."

this is exactly how i ended up watching Attack on Titan when i did. it was suddenly on netflix...

and so i thought it was destiny for me to watch it next...

easy to browse database of all titles on Netflix instant watch (this is necessary because even when I'm browsing the anime genre, there are anime titles that I know are still available on instant watch, but they're never listed in the genre browsing option. you have to specifically search for that title in order to find it.) so to make sure i don't miss anything because netflix's browsing option sucks. I NEED THIS SITE.
