“Come on, let’s just go on the rides.” You pull his arm, trying to go on with the rest of the night and get him to start functioning again. “Please, forget it.”

“How can I?” He stays rooted in his spot, tugging his hand from your grasp. “You just asked me on a date.”

“It was a mistake. I didn’t mean to say it, swear.” You’re dreading the rest of this conversation already.

“So what? You said it and I’m glad you did,” he laughs, pulling you back into his grasp. “I was way to scared to ask myself.”

“You really want to go on a date with me?” you gape. This time it’s your turn to stare at him wide-eyed and dumbfounded.

“Yeah,” he nods, dimples on display. “I think we should consider tonight our first official date.”
