Day 07/29 🐿 #chipmunk #stepbystep I have decided to touch again the background to create some depth. I choose a grey quite opaque that I will spread with a large brush on a great part of the picture. I don't load my brush with a lot of color in order to establish a thin layer between transparency and opacity. I have worked on the ground near the feet of the chipmunk and also textured the fur. Day 18/29 🐿 #chipmunk #stepbystep #workinprogress There we go on the Chipmunk! I install my colour, block my shapes. I warm up the colours to get the mood I want on the chipmunk and on the ground. It looks as if I was erasing my work right now but do not worry, it is on purpose and it is just temporary! I am playing with opacity and thickness of painting to create texture and little impasto. Day 16/29 🐿 #chipmunk #stepbystep #workinprogress Time to start the Chipmunk now! So far I just prepared the field of this adorable and friendly rodent. I truly love the way they gather so much in such a small body and the strategy they use to fill the mouth to the extreme maximum making them look like ... well shapeless but just so funny!  To avoid the weird aspect when they are totally full up, I prefered to choose when the chipmunk starts to feed, putting his tiny tiny hands close to his mouth, so active and efficient. They are truly incredible creatures.
