It's dark when I get up in the morning at 6:10 AM so documenting my routine is tough. For Day 2 of the #InstaTideChallenge here's a little illustration of the constants of my routine instead. No caffeine for me. 😄Tea and phone time are most mornings and nearly every weekday my dog, Nellie, and I head out for a 2 mile walk around our neighborhood along the lake. I enjoy breakfast with my husband and make his lunch while we chat and watch shows on TV. Then I head up to my office to get started at 8:00. Nothing glamorous or too crazy here. We like relaxing mornings with no rushing to enjoy our warm beverages and each other's company. 💕

The last day of #instatidechallenge and it is to highlight a fellow creative entrepreneur. For me, that would have to be @shepaintsandwrites - someone who is so positive and encouraging and definitely embodies #communityovercompetition. The picture here is of her watercolours - totally lovely - which she sent over and which I wrote on. 😁

First up is @addyejoyfantastic, my cousin/Big Sis and the creator of incredibly phresh tees and @yay9. There are only 2 people I go to for graphic design work and she's one of them. I've known her since I was 6 and my first memory of her is seeing her drive up to my aunt's house in her 4x4 Tracker-I remember being excited because her tire cover on the back had #Prince's symbol on it...and I immediately fell in love with her. I suddenly felt less alone, like my awkward Black girl weirdness and love for Prince & rock n roll was normal. She was the first visual artist I'd ever actually met and she continues to be one of my favorites. My dream life would include us and her sister @djcrystalclear living within walking distance of each other and sharing a studio where we create and share dope sh*t with the world together. She's brilliant, one of those innovative visionaries who are ahead of their time, and I'm excited to what's on the horizon for Yay 9!. Check out her work, hire her, follow her process.
