Aujourd'hui, elle a porté le couleur bleu encore, donc she went on tumblr. Bad Abi.
Spain! Why would we go to the Crusades when we can spend almost 800 years fighting Muslims? Spain has an interesting history but I don't find a connection with European history until the Catholic Monarchs started playing their cards.
I was wondering if you would say España. Christian Spain and Al-Andalus were definitely a place apart from the rest of Europe for a looooong time. Interestingly different though! My advisor is a 13th c. historian of the kingdom of Aragon, and since at the time they were culturally and economically not so separate from my own region of focus, Languedoc, I’m vitally interested in them. And of course, all the pilgrims headed through Languedoc were headed to Santiago de Compostela. A lot of my penitent heretics were sent that a way to atone for their sins. :)
