okay this is a really unpopular opinion because i know the point of instructor snape is that he’s like purely antagonistic, but i really want a substory or something that paints him in a more sympathetic light lmao. like there has to be a reason why they appointed him as a full time instructor at the academy aside from the higher ups just being shits right? i’ve seen other instructors acknowledge that he’s just too boring/by the book which is fine, but i kinda want to see that as a positive thing too haha. like they all know that it’s good to drill the fundamentals and i’m pretty certain kaga’s mc even tries to harken back to narita’s classes when she’s tied up on that boat and the reason why she can’t get out of the knots is bc she didn’t practice his techniques enough? anyway i want them to acknowledge that despite his many, many flaws and terrible attitude and elitism and pompousness that narita’s instruction is actually useful and he does care about his students and the wider purpose of public safety

HLITF Instructors if MC died on assignment

Her Love in the Force Instructors if MC died on assignment (a.k.a. the headcanon nobody asked for but that i wrote anyway)

Goto: He would definitely never get over it. Losing not one but two women he cared about would literally be too much. He would go to visit your grave every weekend and talk to your headstone about anything. He’d probably also stop looking after himself and basically subsist on instant food until Ishigami and Soma help him recover.

Kaga: He’d go back to how he was when Hamaguchi and co. died, only worse. He might become a vigilante to try and take down those responsible for your death but only Namba could keep him in check. If they were arrested, he would absolutely use the worst of his interrogation techniques and beat your murderer close to death until Ishigami stops him and then he’d try to fight Ishigami. He would have a hard time getting close to anyone ever again.

Ishigami: He would pour himself into his work and literally become a working machine. He would become obsessed with working cases until he was exhausted, but then push himself to keep going, using your death as motivation. He would try to lock away his emotions but the grief would still eat away at him until finally it culminates in him and Kaga beating each other up when Kaga tells him to get it together.

Soma: He would do whatever it takes to exact revenge. On the surface, he might still seem calm and capable of doing his job, but he’d exhaust every contact and informant he has possible in his plot to systematically destroy the lives of those who took you from him. His usually gentle smile would lose its warmth and his whole personality would turn even colder than it was before you met him. He’d use people as disposable pawns with no remorse – after all, weren’t you used as a pawn when you died on assignment?

Shinonome: He would definitely blame himself, whether or not he was even involved in your death. Shinonome would constantly have nightmares where you slip just out of his grasp and he’d wake up shaking and reaching for you. He loses sleep over them, becoming even snippier during the daytime. He would always run scenarios in his brain of what he could have done to prevent your death, like maybe if he’d called you that day, the timing of everything might have changed and you would still be together. He would also be so angry with you at first for leaving him but he would eventually realise that his anger is just misplaced grief.

Namba: He would just be so lost. He lost his wife when he chose work over love. But now, even when he chose love, he still lost you. He would mourn you privately every day and probably drink more than ever but ultimately understand that he has the responsibility to prevent tragedies like your death from happening to others.

Kurosawa: He would absolutely cry so much. Every day, Kurosawa would look through photo albums of you and mourn the loss of your smile. He might eventually seem to return to his usual bubbly self but it’s definitely just a mask that he wears to appear okay. He would set up a shrine for you in his home and report on his day to you every time he comes home, imagining you greeting him with a smile and a kiss at the door.

Narita: He’d praise the heavens you were gone lmaooo. Just kidding I think Narita actually has a soft spot for you. He’d see Naruko and yell at her thinking it was you before realising that you were no longer there for him to scold and feel really sad.

okay idk why i only just thought about this last night but isnt it so appropriate that narita aka snape is a public safety instructor? considering snape was basically the ultimate undercover public safety officer in the hp universe

Goto:

can’t stop blushing 

needs full coverage foundation to hide his blush. also needs a lot of powder to counter the profuse sweating

prays that subaru won’t ever see him ever but soma takes photos just in case

miyayama catches a glimpse of goto in disguise and cries in bed at night when he realises that his crush on goto just got worse 

can’t get rid of miyayama from then onwards and begs shinonome’s mc to take him back 

Kaga:

looks like he frequents 2-chome 

threatens to murder shinonome and kurosawa if they take photos

actually has beautiful bone structure and looks really cool. still wears a leather jacket and jeans 

ruins it because he also wears the filthiest glare of all time

good thing the target is do-M

Ishigami:

takes the mission too seriously

does a lot of research on how to get his makeup to last as long as possible and asks his mc a lot of questions

ends up looking like a librarian?

the academy cadets see him and it unlocks a stern librarian fetish in all of them that they never knew they had

goto can’t look him in the face and soma keeps making fun of it

Soma:

usually actually quite masculine but makes a beautiful and refined woman

better at doing hair and makeup than his mc

actually is shinonome’s usual type (shinonome has a sex dream about it and wakes up horrified)

gets hit on 20 times on the street 

gives his mc an inferiority complex

Shinonome:

long silky hair and a super cute outfit. absolutely prettier than his mc

has the longest eyelashes of all time - mc yells from jealousy when she sees him with mascara 

kurosawa hits on him without realising it’s shinonome (kurosawa proposes on the spot when he founds out the truth)

makes his mc question her sexuality

she becomes overly protective of him and he gets bratty about it because he still wants her to see him as a man lol

Namba: 

literally just looks like a man in a dress

what more can i say

he would enjoy it immensely

goes to eat ramen after the mission still in costume 

beard starts to grow back halfway through the day

Kurosawa:

gets sora to do a makeover for him

actually ends up being fairly cute

ruins it once he opens his mouth

asks soma if he’d go out with him now and gets rejected cruelly and immediately

takes a whole album full of selfies to commemorate his cuteness

Tsugaru:

makes his mc go on a date with him while he’s still in costume 

momose praises his disguise because he’s a kiss ass
