Her Love in the Force - 10th Anniversary Chibis
It's already been 10 years since Her Love in the Force got released! To celebrate the anniversary Voltage drew new chibis of our detectives, and this time we also got a chibi for MC! I'm very happy how she gets more attention these days, given how she was just an eyeless hero not that long ago.
Additionally Voltage organized an event last month, where fans were able to see Gotos (mess of a) desk and could leave messages for him. But that's not all! They hired cosplayers to act as Tsugaru and Kaga and the visitors were able to choose scenarios what they wanted to get interrogated by them about. Silly funny crimes like did you eat Ishigamis pudding or drink Shinonomes peach nectar.
Let's wait and see what else they have in store for this title. Shinonomes new season will finally release this month for one. I am excited to find out more about out mushroom!

Sneak Peek: Gaining Through Losing - A Hyogo Kaga x MC fic.
Leaning against the railing on the roof top, Hyogo Kaga took a final swig of his cigarette before stubbing it out. The wind blew the smoke back into his face and he coughed.
He had a meeting with the Chief in a couple of minutes, and no doubt that insufferable Four-eyes Ishigami would be there too.
The thought of Ishigami made him feel like he needed to light another cigarette.
He wasn’t sure why he put himself up for this, he was already time poor enough but there was something about that moron that he thought could be worth his time and effort.
Ishigami had previously summed her personality up as ‘annoyingly positive’, which he actually agreed with. And every time they agreed on something, it was usually a disaster. She had somehow blundered her way to graduation through sheer tenacity and even charmed her way into that idiot Soma’s heart.
What Soma saw in her, he will never understand.
He knocked on the Chief’s door before entering. Ishigami was already there and they exchanged customary glares.
Chief Namba acted like nothing had happened and he greeted Kaga warmly. He was used to his Captains butting heads and he never got involved; as long as they got the job done, it was not in his interest to get involved with their petty squabbles.
"Kaga, I've given your proposal a lot of thought", he began as he chewed on his pen.
“I think you make a very good point. We are severely lacking in that department and I believe she has what it takes to step up.”
He looked at Ishigami expectantly, knowing that he would definitely have something to say.
"I’m not opposed to her doing this,” Ishigami said nonchalantly. “But I do have one concern: are you sure now is the right time to start the training? After all, they've just broken up and she's just started working with Kurosawa".
Kaga gave a knowing smile.
"No need to worry, Four Eyes,” he quipped.
“On the contrary, I think now is the best time to start".

Asuka Hayashi was now a fully qualified Public Safety officer. She had come a long way from the police box in Nagano and she had worked really hard to overcome the odds during her time in the academy, no thanks to the instructors who believed in her.
But there was one instructor in particular she owed her success to: Instructor Shusuke Soma.
Working together had resulted in them falling in love, but just as sudden as their relationship blossomed, Soma pulled the rug from underneath her by announcing that he was transferring overseas indefinitely. Before she could even question how their relationship could survive the distance, he requested that they break up. His words were like a knife to her heart and she had spent way too much time crying her eyes out.
Since then, they had not spoken or contacted each other. The team was also reshuffled, with Toru Kurosawa now her new partner.
The next morning, both Asuka and Kurosawa were summoned into Chief Namba's office.
"I wonder what this is about?" Kurosawa wondered out loud. "Surely you haven't broken a rule already?" He looked at Asuka in feigned horror.
"Of course not!" she sputtered.
They knocked and entered the office. Ishigami was in there with the Chief, and to their utter astonishment, so was the other Captain, Hyogo Kaga.
As usual, Ishigami looked extremely displeased to be in the same room as Kaga. The look on his face was so sour Asuka felt herself pickling in his presence.
Namba gestured for both Asuka and Kurosawa to take a seat. He tapped his fingers on his desk as he pondered over how to break the news to the duo.
“Firstly, congratulations on graduating,” he said to Asuka with a pleasant smile. “I trust Kurosawa is looking after you?”
Asuka nodded.
“Kurosawa has been very patient,” she replied. “Captain Ishigami has also been very supportive.”
Kaga let out a derisive snort at the sound of Ishigami’s name.
Namba beamed.
“I’m glad to hear that you are settling into Public Safety,” he said. “Which is why I think it is time for us to challenge you a little”.
Asuka stared at Namba. Was she going to be sent on a complicated case by herself? Nothing prepared her for what the Chief said next.
"Hayashi, you'll be doing some special training with Kaga for the next little while".
“WHAT?”
It was Kurosawa who reacted first.
“Is Asuka getting transferred to the other team?” he demanded. “We have only just started working together, changing things up again will only be disruptive to her personal development!”
Kurosawa looked at Ishigami directly when he said that. Asuka too turned her gaze at him in a silent plea for help. To their surprise, Ishigami remained stony-faced and unmoved.
Namba laughed.
"Hayashi, you will still be partnered with Kurosawa on a regular basis", he confirmed.
"We just think you could do with some extra specialized training which Kaga will oversee."
"Hold up, that still doesn't answer any questions", Kurosawa interjected. "What sort of training is she doing that I can't be involved in as well? Can’t Ishigami oversee the training instead?"
Kaga smirked.
"That's classified information. Besides, what we will be doing is beyond Four-Eyes’ scope of work”.
Ishigami did not protest. Instead he pushed his glasses up his nose and spoke sternly to the duo.
“Stop making a big deal out of this. The Chief has gone over this with me and I have no problem with this arrangement.”
Kaga got up from his seat with a triumphant grin.
“So that settles it. From today onward, I will work closely with this moron to ensure that she becomes the best Public Safety officer she can be".
He started to make his way to the door. Just as he pulled the door open, he paused.
“Oi moron!”
Asuka jumped. Was he talking to her?
“You coming? I haven’t got all day!”
As she followed Kaga out of the room, Asuka had so many questions of her own buzzing in her head. She was still trying to figure Kurosawa out, and now she’s got to deal with Kaga?
She thought Captain Ishigami would have put up more of a fight for her to stay on his team; it wasn’t normal for him to roll over and let Kaga have his way. She kind of felt a little disappointed.
What could Kaga have planned? And was he only doing all of this on Chief Namba’s orders?
Kaga led her to the carpark. His car squeaked as he unlocked it and he got into the drivers seat. Asuka followed him and buckled up her seatbelt gingerly.
“Um, Captain Kaga? Where are we going?” she asked cautiously.
Kaga started the car and started pulling out of the car space. With little emotion, he responded.
“You’re coming to my place.”
