I thought the problem was the proper use of "ensure" vs. "insure." I guess we're gonna need a bigger boat...
🤔 What’s Up with “Ensure” and “Insure”?
💁🏻♀️ Here’s the truth:
However, many grammar sticklers insist that “insure” is only acceptable when it means ‘to guarantee against financial loss or harm.’ So, the argument goes, if the sentence doesn’t involve money 💵 or the protection of assets, “ensure” is the better word to use. 💂🏻♂️
💁🏻♂️ Since it doesn’t take a whole lot of work to write “insure” instead of “ensure,” it’s not a bad idea to make that distinction.
