BROOK&JARED||MOVIE NIGHT
It felt as though it had been forever since Brooklyn had really hung out with anyone other than her brother or roommates. Between work, family, and the demands of adulthood, she often found herself far too exhausted to do much of anything- and that was when she had free time at all. However, the holidays had left her with more free time than she was used to, and the painfully obvious realization that when it came down to it, she had quite the limited social life. Hopefully, however, that was about to change. The invitation had come out of the blue, though one she’d found herself hoping Jared would take her up on. When he did, Brooke immediately began making her way around the apartment, tidying some things, wiping down others, and lighting a few scented candles along the way.
When the knock came, though, she was ready. Having already pulled the movie up on the large television in the living room, she’d been debating whether or not Jared might want popcorn, or any other form of snack food. Standing, her slippered feet padded towards the door, flipping the lock easily and putting on the brightest of smiles. “Hey, Jared! You made it! Please, come in!” Stepping to the side, she allowed him to cross the threshold into the apartment, closing the door gently behind him. “My roommates are both working their overnight shifts tonight, so no worries there. I set up right in here, but you’ll have to let me know if you want any popcorn or chips or anything! We’ve got tons of stuff in there, I’m sure we can find something if you’d like a snack!” @rose-coloredlense
