kai had been gone for quite some time and there was no telling why. it was probably just one of his attempts to find a way to get katherine back as a vampire or even better, a hybrid of sorts. he knew that it wasn’t going to be easy to do but for him, it was worth some sort of shot. he walked into the house and hollered out, ‘ honey, i’m home! ‘ waiting for katherine to come greet him at the door. he raised an eyebrow and set his stuff down, knowing his wife probably didn’t hear him. so he decided that finding her was a better plan.

After adjusting to being back home after nearly a week and half without being there, Brighton had made plans to meet up with her best friend and have some relaxing time together since their time in Aspen was cut short with snow storms and the training she needed to do in order to get ready for the game she smashed to pieces last night. With the take out being ordered, the blonde crawled into some comfortable clothes and hung up the phone with her fiance that was checking in with her to see how the games went even though he watched on TV from Pittsburgh. After some time, the take-out she had ordered for herself and Katherine came and she began setting everything up in the kitchen when she heard a knock at her door.

“Coming!” She called out before putting the plates on the counter. Running over to the door, the blonde opened it up and greeted her friend that stood here. Welcoming her inside, Brighton was estatic to see her and finally get some more girl time to talk about the wedding the fashion line her friend was putting out and even just gossip. “You’re just in time, the take out got here a few minutes ago and I wasn’t sure what you were in the mood for so I ordered a lot. I figured you can take whatever else home for yourself and the boo.”

With the Aspen trip in full swing, Brighton couldn’t wait to hang out with Katherine and show her all around the city like she promised her. The blonde had a list of everything they’d do in her mind; They would go shopping at the small boutiques in the area, maybe strike up on some conversation with some owners about her line to help her out some more and then head over to the local bar Brighton was a fan of for a few drinks and some more catch up. Dressed for the cold weather, but still trying to be fashionable considering who she was with, Brighton walked down the street after grabbing a cup of coffee with the brunette.

“So, the store is just up the street a little bit and it’s not terribly cold out, so I figured we’d walk and take in everything. When I was here last month for a few runs and what not, I was walking around and thought you’d love it out here.” She said, turning to her friend. “Besides, it’s not vacation unless you spend some cash and come home with more clothes then what you left with.”

Although he hadn’t given much thought to whether or not he was actually hungry, Alistair had been drawn into the dining room by the rich and enchanting scent of the day’s most freshly prepared meal. His hands remained clasped behind his back as he surveyed the offerings, head nodding approval at the dishes he recognized while taking a closer look at those he did not. 

Visiting France had been quite the whirlwind,, even more so in the culinary sense. The Prince enjoyed the attempts made at including the various cultures and local cuisines of those in attendance, and truly was pleased at the thought of sampling dishes he wouldn’t have had the chance to, otherwise. 

Spotting another royal seated nearby, Alistair made his way over. “Your Highness.’ He said with a bow and a smile. “Would I be intruding if I took this particular seat?” Nodding towards the empty space beside he, he smiled as he awaited her reply.
