to be completely clear this is me SAYING that that’s a bad take. religion is an important part of a lot of peoples lives! saying the relationship bt a religious leader and their worshipers is inherently abusive is kinda like saying the relationship between a therapist and their clients is!! sure theres a power inbalance that CAN lead to abuse, but power imbalances exist everywhere in our lives.
in any case, arguing that religion is inherently evil is kinda not a good look considering how many people worldwide are persecuted for their beliefs based on uncomfortably similar arguments. eyeroll.
